Physical description: Vanessa has medium brown hair, blue eyes and wears glasses. She is most often seen wearing expensive business attire or short dresses and heels.

Nimbus: Swirling mist and shadows. Figures can be seen behind ever changing and moving and tendrils of darkness reach out.

Awakened: 2016

Initial Master: Anubis

• 2005: her grandfather dies leaving her with a family artefact- a pair of glasses. They allow her to see the resonance of all types of magic, and give her countermagical abilities. her grandfather warns her to watch and study the unknown, but not be seduced by it.
  
• 2007: While competing her honours year at Griffith University, she is encouraged to accept an internship to improve her chances of acceptance to the Ph.D program. She accepts an Internship at Pushing Daisies Forensic Investigations. She comes to the attention of the owner, and soon becomes his personal secretary and lover. Kalfu says to protect her, she has to change her name. He calls her Vanessa.
• 2008: Discovers that her lover is actually a mage Kalfu
• 2014: Kalfu takes her to a national gathering of Mages in Sydney. Her investigative skills and glassess allow her to convey unseful information to the mages there, even though some object to a Sleepwalker being present.
• 2015: Kalfu again takes her to a gathering of mages in Brisbane. She meets Tectus and Shirou Emiya.
• 2016: January. Unable to shake the idea that Kalfu is in danger, she flies to Canberra against his orders. She collapses at his door and awakens.
