Personal Information
Thin and delicate, Whistler has an almost ethereal presence to her that makes her seem barely present. Her dark eyes and blue skin are faintly reminiscent of the night sky, and, indeed, the few times she's been seen, it's been basking under the pale light of the moon. Her voice is delicate and soft, and it's easy to pity her. But she's the one responsible for breaking apart many a former member of the Freehold until they're rebuilt into vicious fanatics of their cause.
Appearance
Mask: A dark-haired, dark-eyed lady with elegant dress and a fragile, almost anorexic build.
Mien: A pale, blue skinned and blue haired woman with dark black eyes, and skin that glows with faint moonlight.
Mantle: Despite Whistler's insubstantial appearance, every shadow she casts is a violent, dark slash against the pavement. The shadows that wrap around her skin seem like the most substantial part of her - and they're even more potent than those of the Freehold's greatest enemy, Jack Rover.
Personality
It's difficult to tell what Whistler is actually like. The few interactions the Freehold have had with her are all vastly different: one describes a stern authoritarian figure, another as a shy, pensive wallflower, and a third a calm, disciplined student of the Changeling mind.
Mortal World
Whistler's known to be a childcare worker in the real world, quietly working away at a small daycare center.
Information Known by Lost Society
Whistler leads one of the more insular motleys of the Loyalists, known as the 'Hearts and Minds'. She possesses a remarkably brilliant mind and is, by all accounts, surprisingly effective at empathizing with the Lost. The few who've met her 'off-duty' have observed that it's incredibly hard to dislike her, even knowing what she does.
While she evidently outranks Jack Rover, the pair have been observed to have a significant distaste for each other. In the last couple of years, neither's been seen in the presence of the other.
Timeline
- 2001 - Comes to the attention of the Information Network, seemingly becoming an unofficial leader of her motley out of nowhere.
- 2006 - Seven members of the Summer Court launch an assault upon what is believed to be her home. They all return, claiming to have injured her severely before she managed to flee and hide from them long enough for help to arrive. She's never observed for the Freehold after the assault, and it's hoped that she died from her injuries.
- 2008 - Whistler finally ventures out for a charity event; she's witnessed in the company of a new Lost, known as Abraham.
- 2012 - Media reports indicate that famous businessman Daniel Mills was involved in a hit and run. An infiltrator attempted to slip into the hospital he was believed to be staying at, and witnessed Whistler sitting by his side, swearing that she'd make whoever was responsible pay.
Motley
The Archerfield Loyalists have at least thirty changeling, and potentially many more. The Hearts and Minds motley is believed to include the following members and presumably more;
- Daniel Mills - An genteel Fairest with a significant amount of business backing.
- Abraham - A quiet and introverted man, devoted to his small band of friends.
- Brand - A remarkably suave rebel who is disturbingly good at charming the Freehold's ladies.
