Newly escaped Lost from The Hedge are the most valuable resource for the Freehold, without the ability to rescue them the Freehold would die. A group of Changeling experts in tracking down and retrieving new Lost once they leave the hedge and taking them to safety all the while contesting with the Loyalist servants of The Others.

There are a lot more dangers from changeling once they find themselves outside of the hedge, the First Response is hereto protect changeling from those dangerous in anyway they can. They have always followed the belief that Lost, and particularly Lost newly escaped from The Hedge are one of the most important individuals for the Freehold, without the ability to rescue and protect them the Freehold would die. For the most part this relies on them being able to survive contesting with the Loyalist servants of The Others and having the know how to deal with fetches and such other machination of The others that make their way into the mundane world.
