Lineages, Houses, Coteries and Groups
The following lineages, houses, coteries and other groups exist within the Gangrel.
House Valdyr
The Valdyr are a small close-knit lineage that can trace their ancestry back to Nordic Mythology. The Valdyr believe that they are descendants of the Wolf-God Fenris and thus have the blood of a true apex predator running through their veins. They are a fiercely loyal and protective lineage that has slipped out of the spot light over the millennia, having lost many of their number during the endless wars that have raged across the world.
"Family. Tradition. Respect."
House Morrigan
The Morrigan (or 'the House of Morrigan') consist mainly of embraced mortal descendants of Irish convicts transported to Australia generations ago, although a mysterious line of Roma Gypsies also appears accepted in the House. They are especially religious, existing in service to what they believe to be an ancient cause defined by the Gallic goddess Morrigan. They are well-known for their signature animal form, the carrion crow.
"Weave the fey, feed the carrion."
The Armbruster Line
Gangrel are Kindred of impulse, of savage fury, in tune with the Beast Within. When you teach a Gangrel, you program them, denying our hunter's instinct. Naturally, because of our fundamental focus, we are not as pack or familial focused as other Gangrel clans. When we Armbrusters get together, we just tell stories. That way, we take from others experiences what we choose to take, or what we know to take, rather than what we are told to take. In order to remind ourselves and, more importantly, others that we are not a bloodline or clan in the traditional sense, we call ourselves a Line.
The others are houses. Houses have walls. We don't.

Unaffiliated
As often as members of the Clan gather in proud packs, groups, and hold close to their family members, others have separated from them or don't know who their sire may be - a symptom particularly prevalent amongst the Savages. While having the lack of support of a close family may seem a disadvantage, it also removes a significant burden.

Stereotypes
By and large, Gangrel typically remain on the outskirts of Kindred politics, not being particularly concerned with such matters - though it'd be wrong to say that they don't have their own opinions. The Circle of the Crone offer an opportunity for those spiritually-minded to explore their beliefs, while the Carthian mindset of freedom is just as appealing for those who are more proactive. The Lance and First Estate offer other opportunities, depending on the Savage's beliefs: the former can be some of the most terrifying Kindred anyone will meet, while the latter often work for Elders, or have gained the status themselves. Some do join the Ordo Dracul, not always to learn the blood magic of the covenant, but also to explore their bestial origins without religious or political dogma. And yet there are also many who find their place among independent and unaligned Kindred, enjoying the lack of structure and wild freedom that they offer.
