Appearance
Erânshahr's appearance is hard to pin down, as he practices his family trait of Denying the shallow death through rebirth in a protégé. However the subjects he chooses when the signs are near are reasonably tall, and when they assume his mantle they take on his style and dress. Thus his beard is neatly shaped and short and he is usually found wearing flowing sirwal (punjabi pants), turban and a richly crafted and decorated thawb held closed with a sash. Unlike the traditional style from his homeland, he has been known to adorn his turban in dastar style with a brooch or an aad chand. He alternates between sandals and boots, but is never seen without his shamshir sword.
Personality
Previously known among the Kine as "The Semitic Fire" due to his fierce temper, the only change in the millennia is that Erânshahr's anger has evolved from range and violence to a more subtle streak of manipulation and backstabbing. In the nights before his disappearance, he was known to never show his anger, but seethe quietly underneath a façade of polite friendliness till he had you where he wanted you and you fell so hard that you could never get up again. This tactic, well known amongst his clan, meant that soon he was tarred with the same brush, and became as mistrusted as the other shadows.
Mortal World
Erânshahr has re-invented himself to the mortal world more than he has remade himself to avoid the effects of torpor. What his name was when he was born is lost to the kine, and when he began his campaign against Islam, he took on many pseudonyms, further confusing the matter. Kine of the time of his mortal life are even divided over what happened after the assassination of the Caliph Umar that lead to his Embrace. Some say he killed himself, others claim that he died and was buried in Kashan. Since re-invented himself many times, but has taken deliberate steps to hide from the society of Kine. Names or appearances he appears as never last long in the minds of mortals, being as forgettable as his interactions are with him. He is less than a shadow, he is unseen, unheard, and even after still forgotten.

- 624 - father is killed by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud in the Battle of Badr.
- 625 - middle brother is killed by Muslim forces in Battle of Uhud.
- 627 - siege of Medina in the Battle of the Trench siding with the Arab confederate tribes.
- 628 - sides with Quraysh after Treaty of Hudaybiyyah and involved in slaughter at Al-Wateer.
- 629 - defends in Conquest of Mecca, after which Eldest brother Ikrimah is sentenced to death for his crimes, but spared by Muhammad.
- 630 - Ikrimah converts to Islam and companion of Muhammad, upset at this, he flees.
- 631 - travels around Arabia creating anti-muslim sentiment in the apostate tribes.
- 632 - joins army of self proclaimed prophet Musaylima against Abu Bakr, survives Battle of Yamama by seeing the “Garden of Death” for the trap it is and flees.
- 633 - tries to assassinate Kahlid during Persian Conquest, captured as Persian slave at Hira.
- 634 - calling himself Piruzan, conspires with Hormuzan to assassinate Caliph Umar, and fleeing to Iran, is saved from death by Archived-Thrace's embrace. Takes an Archived-Egeriae name, as the the Empire he would be dispatched to.
- 635 - follows in his Sire's footsteps and joins the Archived-Circle of the Crone.
- 636 - last Kine Brother dies in the Battle of Yarmouk.

- 743 - communes with the djinn for the first time and learns the Mnemosyne ability to create blood sympathies with any vampire, thus joins his Sire and Grandsire by being inducted as Archived-Egeriae.

- 894 - experienced the sluggishness of his first shallow death and starts grooming first protégé.

- 1530 - animal blood no longer satisfies his thirst again.
- 1551 - travels to Trento, Italy to manipulate and assure that Christianity is further divided at the resumption of the Council of Trent.
- 1552 - meets Goderic, leaves Trento after the threat of war from Austria reaches Tirol, and is not seen by any kindred or kine that knew him for 10 years.
- 1562 - appears for the first time in a decade back in Trento when Pope Pius IV resumes the Council of Trent.
- 1563 - departs Trento, quitting the Council of Trent well before it concludes.
- 1690 - struggles to transcend the daysleep one evening, and fearing torpor without the ability to project into a protégé begins to fervently document his requiem and search for a method to avoid torpor.
- 1700 - fails to resist the extreme pull of eclipse and falls into torpor, disappears and is presumed to have met Final Death.
