Personal Information

Evrae was born in Adelaide in May 1996 and has lived there for her whole life. An avid gamer, one of her goals is to become a Challenger-rank League of Legends player and make money from her gaming, however since the closure of The Pad in early 2015 she has been contemplating eventually running a gaming bar and club. She attempted a Computer Science degree in 2014 only to decide it wasn’t for her and drop out.

Appearance

Evrae generally tends to dress comfortably, usually wearing a nerdy shirt. She wears a leather jacket or a hoodie and jeans with this in colder weather, opting instead for long-ish shorts in summer, typically denim. She generally wears combat boots or sneakers, again depending on the weather. If she has to dress formally, she tends to wear a suit. She’s occasionally been known to dress in costume, but it usually only happens around Halloween. Her hair is mid-brown, styled in a messy bob that stops just short of her ears at the front, coming down to the nape of her neck in the rear. Her skin is olivey, and her eyes are hazel-brown. In terms of height, she's a few inches taller than the average female, reaching a height of 168 centimetres.

Personality

Evrae is a cunning, somewhat persuasive young woman who is good at managing her money and getting what she wants or needs. She’s prideful, mostly when it comes to games, and she aims to become something of a ‘model Kindred’ who is good at the things she does and the skills she has. When having suggestions given to her when she has other plans, she will tell the person that their argument is good but she wishes to consider her choices further, before pursuing the outcome she had already decided on pursuing. A good example of this is when Reverend Timothy Ward began trying to push her to join the Lancea Sanctum, when she already had intentions of joining the Invictus. She has now been through her manumission and is a full member of the Invictus, where she intends to make herself useful and reap the rewards. She’s just a little bit of a perfectionist. She's also rather fond of drama and usually carries sunglasses with her so she can throw them on dramatically when someone's getting "burned so bad it needs ice". She is yet to require them in court.

Mortal World

Evrae’s parents don’t question her ability to sleep all day – she works in night fill, so it wasn’t unusual before her trip to Berri – why should it be now? Her friends wonder why she’s stopped mooching their internet and staying over their houses so often, but it doesn’t bother them much either way. She’s seen as a pretty good gamer by most of them, though they know that she’s the most likely to get salty after a lost game. Her workmates know her as a hard worker, not always seeking extra hours but always doing her best to get the job done, and to do it well. They don’t know if she’s just like that or if she’s kissing ass to get a better pay increase when her birthday comes around again but the boss doesn’t seem to mind, and it makes all their jobs easier, too.

Information Known by Kindred Society

The Kindred of Adelaide know Evrae as both the court 'baby' thanks to her status as the youngest neonate, and also as something of a massive computer nerd. They've seen her determination and enthusiasm when it comes to games of even the non-computer related variety, having observed her playing and winning something of a Ventrue Tennis exhibition match between her and the Ventrue Priscus, Archived-Andrew Blackthorne.

Her Sire, Vanessa Germein, is the only one apart from her who knows the true nature of her blood. She has high hopes for her childe.

Timeline

  • 1996 – Born on May 5th in the Adelaide Women’s and Children’s hospital.
  • 2012 – Asked by other students to leave the high school chess team for being a sore loser. Started playing League.
  • 2013 – Graduated high school.
  • 2014 – Attempted Computer Science degree at Adelaide University. Failed two subjects, decided to drop out rather than repeat a year.
  • 2015 – Embraced by Vanessa Germein in Berri, joined the Adelaide Court and the local arm of the First Estate

Recent History

In early 2015, she moved out and started couch surfing, staying with her former classmates and Adelaide-based members of her League team. Towards the end of August, she went for a trip to Berri, where she was meant to be meeting a League friend. Her friend was unfortunately required elsewhere, leaving Evrae essentially marooned in Berri with no bus back to Adelaide for another day and nowhere to stay. So she waited at PJ’S Pizza until she was told to leave, only to walk out and bump into a charming woman who offered to put her up for the night.

What came next is kind of a haze, all she recalls is waking up the following evening and being taken outside by the woman, whom she now knew as Vanessa, and killing and draining several animals of their blood before having the rules of the Kindred and their Masquerade taught to and instilled in her memory. She was taught a little of each Covenant, and to be wary of those who dared to inquire what made her different to other Ventrue. She left the following evening in a taxi bound for Adelaide, armed with letters of recommendation to the Prince and the head of the Adelaide Invictus.

Upon arrival, Evrae resumed life as usual, sans sunlight, plus a cushy hotel room. On nights where she wasn’t doing her usual nightfill job, she waited at the Adelaide Elysium with the Nosferatu Archived-Ryu Azuma for someone who would take her to find audience with the Prince and the Invictus. Approximately two weeks later, on September 5th, Reverend Archived-Timothy Ward visited the old Elysium to find the pair waiting and brought them to the new Elysium where court was being held and she was (on the good word of her Sire) introduced into Kindred society.

Her grandmother passed away on September 20th, which drove her to consider how mortal society is allowed a comfortable and easy ‘death from old age’ should they live long enough, while Kindred need to be killed. This bothers her to the point that she goes to a place where she used to often go to get drunk while Kine, and observe the people drinking their life away to the point of forgetfulness. Here she is approached by a flirty young man, whom she later feeds on out of a mixture of spite and curiosity, wondering why the hell she hadn’t tried human blood sooner.

She recently obtained something of a permanent haven in Kent Town, and though it is small, it provides her with everything she needs, from small, easy to block windows, a desk for her computer, space for the rest of her tech and plenty of storage space for her clothes and small collection of shiny green rocks. She currently spends most of her time finding information and working on her task for the First Estate, which doesn't really bother her, since she knows it will get her places and because pre-season's not an amazing time to jump into the ranked queue anyway. Her other nights are spent working at her part time night shift job, or observing local animal life near her haven. Recently this has expanded to taking care of and training her puppy Jinx. She's still not 100% sure what she's meant to be achieving there but she's trying and is learning from it.

It's known by the court that she happens to have a stake carved to look like a sword, gifted to her in the court's secret Santa. What few of them realise is that the sword is a replica of Leona's Zenith Blade from League of Legends, and that the sword is an artifact of a tribe of sun-worshipping warriors. Evrae really hopes that her secret Santa did that on purpose.
