The Right and Noble Order of the Iron Wall

The Order of the Iron Wall is a rather young Knightly Order that was formed by Baron Estera to fight the Brood threat in Sydney. The group grew up out of a need to mobilise a force that could threaten the Brood and clear them out of the city. Initially, it was a coterie of Invictus Knights under Estera, whose co-ordination and resources helped them take many victories over the Brood. As the incursion worsened soldiers from other covenants were recruited to fight side by side with the Order. Eventually the Order of the Iron Wall and its associates were able to overcome the Brood. The threat had been ended however Estera could not in good conscience disband the Order that so effectively defended the city. No longer would a city be left unprepared against outside peril.

Nowadays the Most Noble Order of the Iron Wall is the first and foremost bastion of defence a city has against menacing threats. Its members are sworn to defend their city and court at all costs regardless of Covenant or Clan. This is easier to swallow in Invictus held cities, however Princes from other Covenants know well that the Ironsworn will defend their cities to the last breath. Often there are standing mandates that require warriors of any covenant to answer the call of an Ironsworn in defence of the city. In fact, most of the Order keeps good relations with the other Covenants: organising friendly sparring matches, joint scouting operations and mutual defence pacts.

Oath

The Order of the Iron Wall swears to the Invictus to defend the city and ensure its stability. They prioritise defence of Invictus Domains, but swear to root out and destroy any and all threats to the city and court.

Structure

All Ironsworn must have some combat training and the Order primarily encourages fighters to join their ranks to become Knight Guardsmen; however Kindred with other skills are encouraged to join as well. Those skilled in information gathering and organisation become Knight Scholars and oversee the supply, briefing and mobilisation of the Ironsworn. Those who are more socially inclined become Knight Envoys and are tasked with representing the Order in Invictus matters, liaising with the Prince and the other covenants and sounding the call to war.

The structure is as follows:

Knight Commander: – The ultimate leader of the Ironsworn, all pay homage to them
Knight Lieutenant: – The Second in Command, they oversee the cohesion between the divisions and cities
Knight Captain: – The leader of the Ironsworn within a city. They have the final say in a cities mobilisation and enrolment
Knight Guardsman: – A Knight sworn to the Order of the Iron Wall, tasked with the defence of their city
Knight Envoy: – A Knight sworn to the Order of the Iron Wall, tasked with liaising to the court
Knight Scholar: – A Knight sworn to the Order of the Iron Wall, tasked with organising and supplying the Order
Trooper/Gunner/Campaigner: – The term Knights use for warriors of other covenants that join them in their battles.
