Mortal Name: Bert Walker

Mask: A looming figure of slumped posture, wrapped in scarf, beanie and flanno shirt over workman's overalls. His skin constantly chapped and red from a cold wind and exposure, hair lank and greasy. Bert is bigger than he looks, but the stoop of his shoulders hides much of his imposing stature. Mien: In his true form Bert's exposed skin takes on a pale, leathery appearance, the back of his arms, legs and torso covered in short matted hair. Every joint from knee to knuckle is large and almost swollen in appearance, added to this is a dusting of frost that settles on the prominant features of his face and body. Mantle: Bert's mantle bears faint traces of Autumn, the occasional gusts of dry, cool wind, a hint of woodsmoke,in rare moments, normally when agitated, his eyes seem to swell in featureless black disks, and for a brief moment his face seems to elongate and loose all features save the blank eyes and a strange circular mouth..
Known History
After Escaping
Bert was found on the streets of Sydney around 2000 by Keith, a member of the Autumn court. After being taken in and sheltered by Kieth, Bert began to do odd jobs and run errands for him, eventually joining the Autumn Court more by falling habit than any grand declaration.
As Keith rose to prominance in the Autumn court, Bert followed along behind, always close to the Autumn Monarch, but also seen around the freehold, happy to help out any changeling who seemed to need the sort of simple but arduous labor he was best at (carrying loads, mowing lawns, building brick retaining walls, etc).
Bert occaisonally branches out into less ethical tasks if needed, scaring off a few punks looking for protection money from a skitter-skulk tailor, convincing a loan-shark holding an unreasonable debt over a runner-swift to write off his investment. Bert canoccaisonally be convinced to do this sort of thing, but hurting people seems to leave him distressed him for weeks afterward.
Around 2005 something escaped from a previously undiscovered hedge gate in Bert'snew Neighborhood, causingthe death of a teenage girl before it was caught and dealt with. After this Bert was seen on nightly patrols of his neighborhood, walking alone in the dark in the hopes of drawing the attention of anything else that might ever come to cause trouble for his friends.
Recent Events
-2014: Became... involved with a gifted mortal artist after seeing her paintings depicting Simple Simon whose fellow artist had discovered a n important hedge gate.
-2014: broke a hospitality oath by assaulting the Keith During a meeting with mortals protecting a fetch.
-2014: Traveled to Brisbane for a special occasion, and became quite obviously enamored with several of the Autumn courtiers after the Spring Queen organised a speed dating session. -the visit was some what marred when some spring courtiers paid a band of Toll-taker Knights to make him remove his wintery attire. Bert apologised profusely for the property damage that resulted.
-2014 a nationwide gathering of the Lost to deal with a Fae threat. - When Bert learned that the Winter King of Sydney held another changeling's name and would not relinquish it Bert publicly swore an oath to murder him unless he relinquished it. -When Bert's beloved friend Blade was murdered at a nationwide gathering hosted by the Sydney freehold and Brisbane based suspects attempted to flee the investigation Bert sought to stop the entire group. Un/fortunately he was incapacitated by Winter magic and they escaped through a mirror gate.
-2015 When Bert learned through Autumn lines of communication that his 'good friend' Adam Winnick had murdered Blade, Bert 'went away' for for several months. In his place was the vicious and spiteful Simple Simon remained to protect Bert.
-2015: Simon arrived in Brisbane, unannounced, and was soon picked up by the First Response motley, who at first Mistook him for Bert. While discussing the situation with Belladonna Simon negotiated for Bert to be allowed to question members of the court so that he could understand what happened. Bert eventually departed after gathering with the Autumn Court in private, leaving teary eyed and snot nosed, but clinging to Hayley Le Quin
