Customs House: Located on the Brisbane River, this old building has an important if not spicy role in the city’s history. What makes it important to the Awakened, particularly those who tie themselves closely to the Consilium, is that since renovations were completed in the mid-1990s it has been the consistent meeting place of the Consilium Council for their monthly open meetings and often for their closed meetings as well.

QUT Gardens Point Campus: Located just south-east of the CBD, this territory is jointly claimed by the cabals that form the Free Council assembly that in turn takes its name from the area. Known to have been founded with help from the Free Council back in the 1960s, QUT has remained in control of the Free Council ever since. Spared from much damage in 1982 due to the isolationist nature of the Free Councillors at the time, it is one of few places in Brisbane known to have always been controlled by the Awakened. In the present day it remains a heavily guarded location, steeped in protective magic and liberally marked with territorial runes. It is known that a powerful hallow sits at the top of V Block, and that the same building contains the local Lorehouse.

Gaslight Mansion

Gaslight Mansion

Located in the suburb of Toowong atop one of the foothills of Mount Coot-tha, this mansion is one of the oldest buildings in Brisbane. Built many years ago by a wealthy Irish-Welsh immigrant by the name of Jonah McNamara, the building remained in the family is currently owned by McNamara’s great great granddaughter and will likely pass on to her son eventually. It is also well known to the Awakened because it is the current sanctum of the Lighthouse, a small cabal of masters who have lived in Brisbane longer than any of the other Awakened. The house is known to have been built around a courtyard which houses a large and powerful hallow, whilst the mansion itself contains a similarly powerful demesne where many of Brisbane’s Awakened experienced their first unfettered tastes of vulgar magic and have departed on simple journeys into the astral realms.

The Mansion is at the upper end of a Size 4 Sanctum. It has between 15 and 20 rooms, not including the Library. The Hallow is located in a central courtyard whilst the rest of the Mansion is arranged around it like a square.

There is a small network (around 3) of *very* secure rooms below ground which contains the Demense. There is a main hall with an attached kitchen, and a large study attached to the Library. Each of the Masters had their own room (now vacant), and about four rooms split between the McNamara Family (about six or seven members of the family of various ages).

On top of that, there are at least two separate guest rooms, and several other rooms for various purposes.

Quarry House: Located in the suburb of St Lucia, Quarry House is a large Federation style house currently owned and operated by the Stonemasons. It is not only a sanctum, but it is also known to the Awakened as the location of the primary Athenaeum in Brisbane and is known to contain a small hallow. Despite this knowledge being public, the Stonemasons generally do not permit visitors from outside the Mysterium to enter the Athenaeum without considerable just cause first. Even then, borrowing from the Athenaeum is almost strictly prohibited for anyone outside the Stonemasons.

Kelvin Grove: Located to the north of the CBD, this suburb is claimed by the Gardens Point Assembly as sovereign territory. This claim is backed up by the fact that it contains three known Free Council sanctums. The Greenhouse, as the members of Neogaea who live there call it, is a relatively new house designed in the Queenslander style. The name is quite apt, as the underside of the house contains many gardens and horticultural projects. Moebius' Strip, by contrast, is actually a small block of apartments each claimed by a member of the Praelectors. The third is the Workshop, another Queenslander claimed by the Salient Gears cabal. Though the Free Council holds much influence there, QUT Kelvin Grove is not claimed nearly as strongly as Gardens Point.

Gotham Tower

Gotham Tower, CBD

This office tower is the recognised sanctum of the Archons, and includes the offices of the current Hierarch, Agent Shrike. Formerly the State Law building, the high rise maintains a tight level of security.

The Ark

The Ark, Mount Nebo

Located far north of the city, this is the recognised sanctum of the Ardent Compass. The cabal claims a wide track of wilderness stretching from the Gap up to Mount Nebo.

The House of Grace, Graceville

Recognised sanctum of the Saints of Grace cabal.

Paddington Sanctum

Recognised sanctum and home of Apple and Twenty One, newly arrived in the city.

The Obelisk, Kelvin Grove

Recognised sanctum of the Architects of Amun-Ra.

The dead are protective of their resting places and it is considered unwise to spend to long here at night unprepared.
