Mask: Connaught is garroulous and outgoing. He's friendly, happy, and there is always a twinkle in his eye, as if he's seeing something that non one else does....and he can turn a profit from it.

Mien: Connaught's skin has golden sheen which invites closer inspection. He had matte black hair and brown eyes. He speaks with a UK accent, sometime Scottish, sometime Irish. He is incredibly attractive, and when he speaks, a timbre in his voice encourages you to listen more.

Connaught, and his twin brother Jarlath were inseparable as they were different. But they complemented each other and where one was weak, the other was strong, and between the two of them there was little they could not accomplish. Connaught though, excelled with people, always the life of the party. Whilst Jarlath turned his skills well to most manual crafts, Connaught was the one who started organising his commissions and dealing with his suppliers.By the time the twins were in their early twenties, the future was bright for the Stern Brothers. That was, until their talents caught the eye of the Fae, and both were Taken.
Taken by a crafter Fae, who traded in many things, but somehow couldn't create Hedgespun and the like themselves - something always went wrong at the last minute. Therefore he took those with talent, taught them to forge and spin; weld and sew.
Ironically, Connaughts talents were used both to market his brothers creations and to procure the bewildering array of ingredients that the commissions required. He also served as Herald, announcing the Fae and smoothing his path as he traveled. On some missions, thoughts of getting away through the hedge occasionally surfaced, but Connaught would never leave without his brother. Thus the Fae kept them both prisoners without restraints or threats.

Escape

One day Connaught and other prisoners brought back a strange machine, broken, from the hedge. It was hidden and not given to the Fae. Along with others, particularly Angus MacKenzie, who knew what it was, Jarlath helped fix it. Eventually the old Comby Van was working, though powered in ways one shouldn't ask, and a bid for freedom was made. Connaught drove, Angus kept the motor running, and Jarlath threw things from the back at their pursuers. Angus fell and did not escape their pursuers, but the Stern Brothers made it to Freedom that day.
