Personal Information

Curtis is the epitome of a Toreador, he is a slave to his emotions and to his art. He is the frontman of Grunge Band/Coterie The Childer. Basically inseparable from his coterie mates: Callie, Ionna and Oliver

Appearance

Curtis is tall and lean, dark straightened hair and fair skin. Very obviously british, only confirmed by his accent.

Information Known by Kindred Society

Curtis was a prodigy of the Toreador Olivia Manuca in London, until for some unknown reason. He was suddenly sent to Australia. He is basically inseparable from Callie and to a lesser degree, Ionna and Oliver.

Timeline

• 1963 - Curtis Felix Rhodes III is born on April 23rd to Curtis Eugene Rhodes II and Elizabeth Rhodes nee Howard, making him minor English nobility on his Mother’s side.
  
• 1966 - The Rhodes meet the Daltons at a charity event, becoming good friends. Callie and Curtis meet as three year olds
  
• 1967 - Curtis is enrolled in piano and singing lessons, while naturally gifted in both he is a vocal prodigy and is entered in and wins several competitions.
  
• 1968 - Enrolled in Bradford Grammar, where his Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather attended.
• 1969 - His Father runs for Local Government, shortly before the election his Mother is found dead. Her murderer was never found but is believed to have been the work of a crime syndicate working for a rival of his fathers. With the death of his wife, Curtis Rhodes II throws himself into his work, receiving a promotion, requiring lots of travel, including international. Curtis is put into boarding school so as ‘not interrupt his life’. During the holidays, he is looked after by family friends, the Daltons.
• 1970 - Curtis joins the music program at Bradford Grammar and is further cared for and his talent blossoms.
• 1976 - Curtis starts High School, long dark hair, dark brown eyes and emotionally open through music, he sleeps with several girls early on in his high schooling years.
• 1978 - Callie Dalton finally gets a serious boyfriend. Excited, she shares the news with her long time best friend, Curtis- who in an act of selfish manipulation, seduced and slept with her, and then spread the news of the act; leading to her being viciously mocked by her peers and dumped by her boyfriend. About two months later, Callie reveals to Curtis that she is pregnant, after a brief moment of worry, he is excited and they start planning their future. Excited, he speaks of the plans to one of the household staff who, worried by it all, takes it to Curtis Snr. This part is still a bit of a blur to Curtis, but Curtis Snr then went and spoke to the Daltons and explained to them how this couldn’t be allowed to happen and payed for and organised Callie to have an abortion before flying out to work again the next day. Curtis finds out a week after the abortion when he next gets Saturday leave and goes to see Callie. He is heartbroken at the news but they agree that they will try again when they’re a few years older. Shortly after, Curtis gets his first ‘real’ girlfriend, he never manages a proper relationship however, due to his emotional distance and at times, disinterest. The rumour of Callie’s pregnancy spreads through first High Society and then schooling, leading to Callie being further mocked and teased.
• 1979 - Callie drops out of school, Curtis goes on to finish Year 11 and 12, finishing his A-Levels.
• 1981 - Curtis is accepted into the Royal Northern College of Music and undergoes their intensive three year Bachelor of Music. During this time he writes the song that eventually becomes “To Tiny”
• 1984 - Curtis comes back to Bradford proper, trying to pick up jobs performing amongst High Society. Quickly hitting a glass ceiling caused by the generation above him remembering the scandal of him getting Callie pregnant. Unable to find work he becomes increasingly frustrated and picks up a minor drug habit. He meets up with his old friend Callie and she introduces him into the punk scene, where he immediately begins making a name for himself as a naturally charismatic frontman, he plays in several bands before starting a band with Callie in 1986, Lister Park.
• 1987 - Lister Park is doing well, they are gaining some fame in the scene and abroad which is where he catches the eye of a Daughter of Cacophony known simply as Lucille. She ghouls Curtis and has him play shows in her jazz club, a much more upperclass and high brow affair. This leads to friction between Curtis and Callie as Curtis dedicates all his time to Lucille and her shows. Curtis and Callie part ways again.
• 1988 - Curtis’ every want and need is met by Lucille as he brings her countless clients and shoots her Club to fame with his emotionally intricate lyrics and performance style. His performances catch the eye of a member of Clan Toreador, who asks permission to embrace Curtis and is granted it despite him being another Kindred’s ghoul. One October night, Curtis is embraced by his sire and bought into the Kindred world.
• 1989 - Curtis and Callie come across each other at Court, realising they have both been embraced, they exchange contact details and agree that they definitely need to catch up but never do.
• 1990 - Early 1990, Curtis is visited by a pleading and desperate Lucille, asking him to leave his Sire’s side and travel with her. Her pleading irritates Curtis and when she doesn’t let up, he eventually frenzies and kills her. Despite her Status, Lucille was a member of the Camarilla, so Curtis’ sire covers up the murder and pulls in favours to stop Curtis being murdered. However he is to be sent to Australia to train under his grandsire, the travel details itself is organised through John Smith, a member of Clan Toreador in Australia. The night before he leaves, he catches up with Callie to say goodbye for one last time. They part ways, Callie wanting to come with him but not being able to organise it in time. A few weeks later, Callie comes to Australia with her friend, Ionna. The three of them form a new band, “The Childer”, they release an album through The Cadence’s recording studio, it is a breakout hit and begins to propel them to fame, it contains a re-work of the song “To Tiny” which is a song Curtis wrote about the baby that he and Callie were going to have and how it lead them to being where they are and talks about where they could have been.

1993

• FEB - Rocked up late to find out he had missed the announcement of a bloodhunt upon those who attempted a coup against Oda. Masterfully avoided responsibilty, instead ensuring his grandsire, Matthew Swain became the new Toreador Primogen, the previous one having been bloodhunted.
