Gargoyle Lore 1

  • Gargoyles exist as a bloodline of Vampires.
  • They can fly.
  • Most of the Bloodline are members of the Camarilla, but several are in the Sabbat, and a few stand apart.
  • They tend to be hard-hitting, and harder to kill.
  • Their twisted forms are unmistakeably inhuman.
  • Their history starts sometime in the Dark Ages.
  • They prefer urban environments instead of wilderness.
  • They are rumoured to reproduce by laying eggs.
  • Some say that the first Gargoyles were created, not embraced.

Gargoyle Lore 2

  • Their ability to fly is innate, and not a teachable Discipline.
  • They have an uncanny ability to both go undetected and to see the undetectable.
  • The trauma of becoming a Gargoyle wipes almost all prior history from the subject's mind.
  • The Tremere are somehow responsible for their existence.
  • They were used as shock troops against the Tzimisce during wars between the two clans.
  • They eventually revolted against their former masters.
  • Their preference for cities has to do with their Bloodline's discipline, involving processed stone.
  • There is no confirmed evidence that they do, in fact, lay eggs.
  • The oldest of the Gargoyles were transformed via foul Thaumaturgical magics using other vampires as components.

Gargoyle Lore 3

  • The birthplace of the Bloodline is Ceoris, a notorious Tremere stronghold, though you are unsure where that is.
  • Credit to their creation is often given to a mysterious Warlock named Goratrix.
  • Some Gargoyles have served as Archons, while others have served as Templars, but open ruler-ship is very rare.
  • Gargoyle are without peer when it comes to aerial combat, accomplishing feats others cannot.
  • It is suspected that the majority joined the Ivory Tower to flaunt their freedom at their former masters.
  • Gargoyles first gathered as free creatures in Paris, at the end of the 14th century.

  • Knowledge of Visceratika from Basic to Advanced levels.
  • The three Clans used to create the Bloodline were the Gangrel, Nosferatu, & Tzimisce.

Gargoyle Lore 5
