Mary is a self-professed nerd and geek. She works heavily with computers and the internet, specialising in cyber security, surveillance, and information retention. She is frequently found to one side of the action, tapping away on some device, seeming a world away, or taking notes frenetically, the very embodiment of forty three tabs open, and which one of them is rickrolling me, dammit?

Mary is the very picture of a small nerd girl just passing her prime, a little overweight, and shorter than average. On closer inspection, some of her proportions are slightly wrong, as stretched or squashed in weird, unknown ways- the Embrace has done worse to others, after all. It seems as if she tries to dress somewhere on the border between goth and punk, but flashes of bright colour skew that look into something different and off-key

Mary is largely deadpan, speaking in a monotone and generally not smiling. She seems quite content to sit and play with her tablet, or to talk, as long as the conversation is worthwhile. Her 'this could have been an email' vibe is strong.
While she has been called 'the sensible Malkavian', the presence of her clanmates does visibly affect her behaviour. Her usually bland speech comes faster, and her conversation is peppered with jumps and non sequiturs, some of which seem to make sense to the others of the Clan of the Moon.

Mary speaks of her childhood sometimes, mostly in terms of her relationship with her brother, Darren, and some mysterious condition, with a range of symptomss. Her parents were the children of Italian immigrants, who left Europe after the turmoil of Mussolini's tyranny.
After school, Mary owned (and still owns) an internet cafe of middling size, that has expanded since opening to include a little space for playing Dungeons and Dragons and board games, as well as a few consoles for local area play, and charging stations for tablets and phones. With the 'original owner' recently 'retiring', and the cafe being taken over by her 'niece', the expansion to more forms of entertainment is part of the 'new' business plan, to continue to keep the place relevant. As much as the regulars would rather die than leave, there's only so many Overwatch tournaments you can hold before people don't care enough to leave their houses.

- 1980 - Is a child. She talks about some sort of illness when asked for more information.
- 1990 - Became heavily involved with computing and information technology. Once out of school, managed to score a job helping secure systems against Y2K failure, which then allowed her to open her own 'net cafe.
- 2001 - Embraced by Idiot Crow in the early part of the decade, and brought into the Camarilla court in Sydney. Ends up heavily involved in security programming post 9/11, which reaffirmed her value to the Camarilla court, and allowed Idiot Crow to educate her as he pleased.
- 2007 - Idiot Crow is killed by the Second Inquisition, along with a large portion of the vampires in the city. The Camarilla court is obvious in their disdain and nonchalance for his murder, and in response, Mary left, vowing never to return. After sheltering with a handful of Nosferatu, she made contact with the Anarch Movement in the last years of the decade.
- 2010s - Existing, laying low, and doing small internet-based jobs for members of the Anarchs, occasionally traveling to 'earn her keep'. Feel free to hit me up for ties!
Recent History
2021
2021 was a year of absence for Mary. Leaving her recently embraced brother behind with a frustrated sigh, she vanished. On her re-emergence in December, she said she'd been asked away for a mission to bring down an unnamed cryptocurrency, and had to go dark for safety's sake. In spite of her claims of non-contact, she returned with a young Gangrel named Roxy
2022
The year was a flurry of activity, learning to integrate with a larger body of Anarchs, and bonding with her fellow Malkavians. All the activity ended up leading to a reluctant alliance with the Camarilla of the city, bearing the heavy fruit of a full-scale battle with the Sabbat. Mary offered her skills to hook up communication, and, despite her protests, ended up leading and coordinating efforts alongside Essa of the Kweenz. It remains to be seen how she will take the extremely mixed results of the assault, especially considering the aggressive intervention of the Second Inquisition.
