Personal Information

Appearance

Robert is a moderately attractive (merit: beautiful) man of white descent that dresses in a flamboyant and quirky manner. His main mode of dress consists of beige linen pants, a black singlet, and some kind of over-the-top overshirt; at the moment he is favouring a pink Hawaiian shirt featuring flamingos, but he tends to rotate the designs every now and then as he feels like it.

As a fashion designer, Robbie picks his looks carefully. He has been known to change his mode of dress to suit the occasion; dark colours and jeans for a more morose and serious mood, for example. Unfortunately, the way that Robbie dresses is usually very much not standard. He tends to stand out in the crowd, and at times his outfits are bizarre or completely unmatching. He likes to tell people "I make people look good for a living, so I can dress how I want."

No matter what Robbie is wearing, his clothes are always festooned with safety pins and sewing pins. He's always got a piece of red thread attached somewhere to his person, and he is never far away from his tape measure (that he likes to drape around his neck). When he meets new people he likes to 'measure' them, much to the discomfort of many. He tends to fiddle with his red ribbon.

Personality

Robbie is a very upbeat man and is outrageously camp. He does not hide his sexual orientation whatsoever and has been known to flirt platonically with people when in a good mood. Robbie is (usually) one of the more plain-speaking of the Moirai. He says what is on his mind, and doesn't hide what is in his heart at any given time. He is very distractable and tends to flit from idea to idea depending on his mood and what catches his interest. He is usually quite loud about this as well.

He has a lot of trouble staying on target, and without the support of his other coterie members tends to not think about the past or the future, which has led him into hot water on many an occasion. People tend to describe Robbie as either the life of the party or a troublesome loudmouth. He dislikes being told 'no', and tends to find silences and mysteries uncomfortable to leave alone.

Robbie is quite creative which is usually a good thing, but sometimes manifests in the worst possible ways. He finds unusual solutions to problems that usually do not involve outright violence, and likes to find ways for people to get themselves into hot water. However, this with his 'leap before you look' personality sometimes leads to dangerous or unexpected situations that can be quite publicly explosive.

Despite his loud and frivolous nature, Robbie is surprisingly serious about three things. Firstly is consent. He hates people that pressure or trick people into things without their consent and will fight for anyone that has had their consent taken away. Secondly, the truth. Robbie believes that there are more sides to the truth than just what you see, and tries his hardest to keep his mind open to all sides of an issue no matter what. He dislikes people that refuse to see truth and finds them hard to be around. Thirdly is anything involving children. He believes that children should be protected from harm at any cost, and will go out of his way to help children no matter what.

When Robbie is very upset, he loses control of his more plain speech and slips into a very 'Malkavian' speech pattern that uses a lot of metaphor and wordplay. As he has delved into the secrets of the cobwebs, this tendency has increased (much to his dismay). Robbie would be the first to admit that sometimes his most clear insights are the ones that people are the least able to understand.

Mortal Days

Robert Tyler was born as the youngest child to a military family from the United States of America. Born 5 years younger than his older sister, he remembers more about living on various military bases than he does about his extended family in the USA. In Robbie’s living memory his family lived in Guam, then Australia, and for a brief stint in America with his paternal grandparents before his Father was discharged honourably due to disability. His mother took up a teaching job in Australia when Rob was 13, and the whole family emigrated peacefully to Sydney.

Robbie had a strained relationship with his father; his sister was more masculine than him. (She came out as Bisexual after he came out as Gay, and now is living with her Girlfriend in Sydney.) His mother was supportive but timid. His Father had ‘projects’ that he pushed Rob to do; sports, wood-shop, mechanics, boxing, etc. Instead of the hyper-masculine program prescribed, Robbie learned how to lie, how to fiddle with things mechanically, and how to disappear. He found his love for fashion and creation during sewing classes at his co-ed high school and pursued it regardless of his father’s opinion. His mother never divorced his father, but fervently disapproved of his treatment of Robbie, and encouraged/facilitated Robbie to do what his heart decided (which didn’t help with the whole honesty thing).

Robbie came out as Gay in his 18th year and delved hardcore into the Sydney scene. Met many people, had many lovers, took many drugs. By the age of 21, he moved to Canberra, took courses on fashion, and entered the industry in earnest, starting to work his way up. (The move was to get away from his parents, as much as it was to get away from the scene in Sydney.) Robbie met his third ex-boyfriend Leon there; the one that couldn’t let go (2011 - 2013.)

He apprenticed to a bespoke tailor shop around 2012 (Mostly through community contacts; most of the stuff they made wasn’t mainstream) and managed to lease and staff his own bespoke tailor shop by early-2015. For Robbie, it was happenstance and proximity that drew him to the homeless man that called himself 'Hank'. A drug addict and a self-proclaimed derelict, Robbie found that he felt both sympathetic and fascinated by the (slightly) apocalypse-obsessed vagabond that had made his home at the back of his shop.

Robbie had enough time to hire and get to know his part-time assistant Louise when he was embraced and staked one night at a club in early 2016, after which he woke up in early 2021, 5 years later...

Disappearing for a while isn't out of character for Robbie, but in the past, it has meant that he was going through a real crisis. His reappearance and reticence aren't unusual either, but now that he has reappeared, it is likely that remnants of his human life are going to follow.

Robbie makes the Stepping on your Toes fashion line. We meet in Queen Anne's ballroom and make a mess. Denim takes Robbie on a date and dominates Robbie into telling him all about Zeke, after which he then Dominates Robbie to take him back to where Zeke is. There is a fight, and Denim ends up staked. The Moirai hear him through the cobwebs and ask for him to be released. Robbie tells Sonja that Denim fucked up, and ruins his reputation with the Cammies. The anarchs look for Seth.

it is revealed that Denim has a twin self; 'Damon'. Their sire Janus starts to worry Robbie. Denim is released. Robbie is VERY angry with Julie. Seth is believed to have been taken by 'Amun', a Lasombra.

Met omega man, participated in a gathering of Anarchs from different cities. Put forth the information that helped to rescue Seth, and broke into an apartment in Kingston.

  • NOV

Revealed the plans of OMEGA man to the Anarchs, participated in a small nosferatu puzzle dungeon. Put together the 'Business as Usual' clothing line, which the HAUS OF M returns with 'regency core'. Met with baron Sash, and Amelia got her 'flesh pocket' put in. Robbie broke one of his tenants; 'Consent', due to Zeke screaming in mental agony.

Prophecies collected by the moirai turn true as the Malkavian Primojen Sonja wars with other Camarilla over the job of the missing Prince, sending ripples through the cobwebs that shock every Malkavian in the city.

The Moirai split up as they help out with the different plots of the city, (Robbie has particular trouble with Julie, and finds her dismissal of their vaguer prophecies insulting) finding out that Omega Man/Dumpster Dan has something called 'true faith', and that Julie has gotten a book called 'the true way' from a "rogue" Tremere, before sending the anarchs winnowing at Sonja like an arrow as her location is known, finally, by Robbie as he all but demands the answers from the universe.

Sonja says that she is the new prince, and reveals herself to be their sire, amongst other, more private things.
Percival shudders under the realization that he contains his sire's past, and feels the weight of time and tide.
Robbie reels under the realization of the present, feeling grief, loss, victory, concern, confusion, and horror all at once.
Amelia plans with the rest of the Anarchs, talking of the future with them as they plan to face new, more powerful threats alongside the challenge of cementing their territory in a city of Camarilla.

2022

Robbie makes a pretty dress for the new prince (his sire) specifically tailored to compliment her position, and piss off any kind of rival that has too much knowledge of symbols.

The dress will be styled like a wedding dress; a silk under-shift split up the sides to encompass a train of ruffles that stretch up to mid-thigh on either side. The colour will be slightly off-white, and the band around the waist is going to be a removable belt that is studded in the shape of the band logo of “Adrien’s Dead Body”
On the side that the new prince was stabbed, Robbie is going to create a ‘bloody blossom’ in a 3d shape.
The flower choice is a Protea flower; an ancient flower that symbolizes change and flexibility. Named after the sea god “Proteus”, the flower also symbolizes royalty
The flower will be about the size of a dinner plate and fade from royal purple at the center to blood-red at the edges. Robbie will suggest to Sonja that she adds some kind of sheer shawl to complete the look.

Robbie and the Moirai fought with Julie, and Mary joined the fold. The Anarchs made some deals with Prince Sonja; and Robbie prompted the Anarchs to do something about Omega Man.

  • MAR

A Baron from Adelaide (that Robbie named BRICK) and another Anarch named Lola showed up at court, chasing Lasombra. After being warned that the only known Lasombra in these here parts was the sheriff, the two proceeded to, according to Robbie, bungle about the gathering until everyone decided to go hit up the Sabbat lair in the garden center. People... died. Robbie tried to save them. They all... they all died. Robbie tried to warn the ones that fell to the beast about choices but ended up falling into the cobwebs as a consequence. Robbie realised that he's falling into the cobwebs faster than he realised, and is frightened, and somehow exhilarated by the prospect.

Damon invites Zeke and Robbie out for a date at the same time, and propositions the both of them to be in a relationship at the same time. Zeke agrees; Robbie declines. Robbie spends the rest of the night messaging Mary, and hanging out at Anne's club.
