Overview

An Invictus Guild of Au-Pairs.
The Order of the Heavenly Danse is dedicated to the training of new paiges and manumitted members of The First Estate, but also training Au-Pairs to ensure that the pure ideals of the Invictus are upheld by all graduates. The Order of the Heavenly Danse values the qualities of dignity, elegance and graciousness. All members are expected to uphold the good name of the guild and The First Estate at all times.
Au-Pairs within the Invictus were not necessarily trained within this rather new Guild, but many newer members of the Covenant were.

Structure

The guild has several levels:

  • Novice: This is the rank given to a supplicant of the guild. This person has been accepted by a member of the guild for full training in the ways of The First Estate. Whether this be a newly released Neonate, or a newly joined member. A graduated Novice is not necessarily a member of the Guild upon graduation.
  • Indentured Student: This is the rank given to a released member of The First Estate who has been accepted for remedial training with the Guild.
  • Apprentice: This is the rank given to a supplicant of the Guild who has been accepted for training for full training as an Au-Pair. Upon graduating an Apprentice becomes a recognized Au-Pair within the bounds of The First Estate, and achieves the rank of Mentor.
  • Mentor: This is the rank given to a member of the Guild who has passed the requirements of training to be a recognized Au-Pair within the bounds of The First Estate. A Mentor has the right to accept and train new paiges and manumitted members of The First Estate, and to train Au-Pairs. A Mentor is expected to uphold the ideals of the guild and to follow the instruction of Meister Au-Pairs. A Mentor may use the Title of Function - Au-Pair. A Mentor is considered a full member of the Guild.
  • Meister: This is the title and rank given to a member of the Guild who is recognized as the city-wide superior in the field of concern. There may only be one Meister Au-Pair in any Domain. The rank of Meister is only given by the ruling body of the guild in consultation with the Inner Council.
  • Grandmeister: The de-facto leader of the Guild. Usually the progenitor of the Guild, though if the progenitor is no longer present in the Guild or has met Final Death, the first ranked Meister will take this position.

Invictus
The guild is an Invictus guild, but it has been known in the past to train those of other covenants in the Traditions and other such requirements of Kindred Society.

Joining the guild

All supplicants must present their chosen Mentor/Meister with an official letter of intent, written by hand in the manner of the Mentor/Meister’s choosing. This letter must identify the supplicant, detail their lineage and make a formal request to meet. The letter must also be accompanied by a small gift, as dictated by the tastes of the Meister/Mentor.
If the letter is received well, the Meister/Mentor shall meet with the supplicant, whereupon they acknowledge the supplicant’s request and interview them. If the Meister/Mentor is contented with the interview, they will accept the supplicant for training within the Guild.

The Exams

The Grandmeister administers any exams. An Apprentice will be drilled on knowledge that Mentors should have. The Grandmeister will administer these exams at any time, and the Apprentice must answer all questions accurately, mistakes are looked upon poorly and will result in the exam commencing again at a later time.

A similar process is used for the more advanced Meister exam.
