Taking on some new blood
Over the last weekend I finally seem to have snagged The Zali at the end of the last gathering. Actually I'm not surprised as she's been having a long running battle with the Mysterium who've been promising to take her in, but never actually delivering. Honestly I'll never know how they expect to attract new members if they never pay attention to the new ones in the consilium around the country. The Zali is a Moros like myself however she's interested in a different legacy to that of the Uncrowned Kings. I can only hope that we find her one of the Mysterium or another Moros that will accept her into the Legacy…
I have given some thought of how I plan to train Zali in the ways of the Free Council and have decided to give her some direct training including a guided exam as she seems to have done fairly well for herself as an apostate to date. My only concern is that she will bow to hierarchy in similar ways to the Mysterium and this will blind her ability to think for herself. Her ability to focus on the core principles is what I am most interested in, and will have to get Dresden and Tinker on to her to give her some insight into the Council and the Kings.
I would like to see what her theorems on what magic is to get her understanding of what she thinks she’s up to, plus see what she thinks of the Free Council’s enlightened egalitarianism and see where she fits in. I would also like to know where she sits on sleeper politics and how her involvement in them is likely to enhance or denigrate their value and inherent magical nature. I am also interested in seeing how she adapts to democracy, even though she’s only been a mage for some months now and will be coming from a democratic background. Lastly I am interested in seeing how far she feels she’s likely to go in destroying the Follower of the Lie…
