Xander the Librarian
Personal Information
Little is known about the strange creature that is known as Xander (if that is even his name). Selling his services as a 'recorder of history' he has been known to have met with Kindred of significant age from a variety of covenants, yet he declares for none of them personally. Polite if not a bit odd, Xander is a wealth of information, the rarer the better.
Appearance
Xander appears to be a Caucasian, portly man in his early 40s, bespectacled and usually plastered with a strange smirk. His attire is at best ‘homely’ and at worst ‘homeless’, but if inspected carefully people would notice that they are clean and well-maintained if not a bit out of date (well, a lot out of date). Observers have remarked that he reminds them of a kindly uncle – strange but harmless.
Personality
Xander is… odd. Not in the ‘get away from me’ kind of odd, but in the ‘how did he know that’ kind of odd. Often looking into the distance and counting on his fingers (usually covered with rubber bands), he seems somewhat distracted, as if chatting with another person. However, if he is looking at someone, they would feel they have his undivided attention and is looking ‘through’ them. This is often a very uncomfortable feeling as kindred feel he may be using Auspex on them (he totally isn’t…>.>). Xander is also known to quickly change personality, from confused and shy to confident and strong in a heartbeat, though strangely he is never threatening – or at least he hasn’t shown that aspect of his personality yet. He also has the strange habit of adapting his speech to those around him, picking up accents, mannerisms, and body language though he seems oblivious that he is doing it.
Mortal World
Those who have sufficient academic knowledge (Ancient Egypt) will see a similarity between him and Kurt Oermann, the Author of ‘Neuägyptische des Grammatik (around 1909)’. Obviously though he is long dead, and Xander seems to know things that would suggest he is much older than that.

• 2017 JAN – Xander is found following Murmur, seeking to find Alim Al Rashid to return something to him. Is brought to court and Acknowledged by Prince Vilrec. Attempts, with aid, to purge the Toowong Cemetery of Spirits but realises that its way out of his league… for the moment.

Rumours
- Is very, very old and speaks forgotten and ancient languages.
- Really dislikes the word ‘Mekhet’ – he is a member of clan ‘Tenebrous’.
- Is completely mad – or at least has a type of multiple personality disorder.
- He seems to know a lot about a wide variety of things (especially dates), and provides ‘advice’ at random times. Is bluntly observant to the point of making people around him uncomfortable.
- People note that he wears rubber bands on his fingers to help him to remember things.
- He never seems to speak negatively about other kindred, even those that seemingly want to do him harm.
- He is Unaligned, but strangely seems more than happy to talk with any member of a Covenant and never speaks poorly of others ‘beliefs’. Rather he finds it fascinating that kindred can create such abilities through a ‘force of belief and will’.
- Will often speak to ‘people’ others cannot see, and tends to forget that others cannot see them.
- Is known to have smashed mirrors when given the opportunity.
- Is known to certain kindred who have organised ‘planned torpor’, and has acted as a ‘recorder of their histories’ to aid them in overcoming the Fog of Ages. (feel free to make a tie here with ST permission).
- Those who know him realise he never reveals secrets or knowledge about others, rather he only speaks of those types of things to the person themselves.
