Awakened of Brisbane!
Long has this city chaffed under the oppression of thrones and hierarchies. A reactionary and conservative government has taken a stranglehold on the Sleeper government, put there through a campaign fraught with corruption and crime. Now there is talk of bringing in permanent and heavily armed police, potentially even private contracts with security companies who will be cleared to use violence to control the people.
More than that, it is known to us now that the Consilium of Brisbane is complicit in this. Their members manipulate the government, even using the guise of being our own as they do so, and they have conspired to infiltrate the free Gardens Point Assembly with subversive elements that talk of integration and surrendering our independence and political freedoms for “peace”.
We know the truth!
They have stolen magical items that were rightfully the property of one of our own, and they did so through people who came to us as ambassadors and refugees. They have established a stronghold in our territory under the guise of cooperation, when in truth they had simply bought off a group of traitor whores with promises of power and control. The peace treaty that has for so long seemed like an agreement between equals has been shown for what it truly is, an excuse which we have been expected to abide by while the Consilium erodes us from within!

It has become clear to us that the Gardens Point Assembly is no longer sufficient to ensure the freedom of the Awakened and the liberation of Brisbane from the corrupting influence of the Lie, nor is the Pax Brisbanensis to which it had been a signatory sufficient to ensure that we remain free to live our lives as we want to live them. Thus it is that the citizens of the Gardens Point Assembly have voted to reform their body-politic; and declare the glorious birth of the Brisbane Revolutionary Column!
We do not fear the promise of violence at the hands of bow-pluckers or curtain-hangers! Our minutemen and citizen-agents stand ready to defend their liberty, and they are willing to die for the cause of freedom should we be targeted by aggressive and reactionary violence.
We do not fear the promise of scorn and derision by book-binders or tin foil priests! Our Lorehouse is proof that knowledge wants to be free, and we will prove the justice of our cause through the progress of our techne as we leave the staffers behind in the past.
Least of all, we do not fear the promise of reaction by the traitor whore liberati! Those who truly believe in the cause of the Great Refusal will stand beside us, loyal to the ideals of 1900! They will not exchange their ideals for power as some have done, conspiring with the hierarchies that oppress the Awakened! They will show that they believe in the cause by standing and fighting against the followers of the Lie no matter what guise they wear!
The Brisbane Revolutionary Column hereby declares its independence and freedom from the shackles of the Consilium and its Pax Brisbanensis. In addition to the former territory of the Gardens Point Assembly, Kelvin Grove and Gardens Point, it hereby lays claim to the suburbs of Herston, Spring Hill, Fortitude Valley, and Kangaroo Point.
A new dawn is coming, Brisbane will be free, and the revolution is now!
