The Constitution of the Gardens Point Assembly

It is by the will of us Awakened who desire to live in a society free from the tyrannies of tradition and ignorance; who wish to work towards the establishment and prosperity of a society built on the principles of knowledge, democracy, and freedom; that this Constitution of the Gardens Point Assembly is ordained and established.

Article 1
All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in the Congress of the Assembly, which shall consist of all those members of the Free Council who have declared their affiliation with the Gardens Point Assembly and been recognized as holding that citizenship.
Article 2
The Congress shall assemble at least once in every Month, at a time that must be announced at least one week in advance to all Cabals who claim affiliation with the Gardens Point Assembly and presently reside within the City of Brisbane.
Article 3
The Congress shall be the judge of its own voting members, of whom a majority shall constitute a Quorum to do Business; though a smaller number may adjourn from day to day and may be authorized to compel the attendance of absent members under penalties as it defines.
The Congress may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its members for disorderly behaviour during a meeting, and with a vote of two thirds majority strip a member of their voting rights.
The Congress shall keep a journal of its proceedings, and publish the same each quarter.
Article 4
The Congress shall have the power to define the laws that hold upon its sovereign territory, to compel any Citizen of the Assembly to answer for violations thereof, and to convene a tribunal meeting to investigate and adjudicate on such a matter.
To call for all Citizens of the Assembly to provide assistance in times of strife, appointing those able to do so as Minutemen and therefore members of its militia which may be assembled at any time.
To appoint by majority vote in time of crisis a Strategos appropriate to the circumstances in which it finds itself, who shall hold their office no longer than six months or the end of the crisis and who may not thereafter hold the office again for at least one year except by consensus of the Congress.
Article 5
The Congress may vote to amend this Constitution on condition that any such vote requires a consensus in favour to pass.
