Personal Information

Daren, or more commonly Dazza, is an easy going farm boy from the outskirts of Canberra's more rural sections. Sent away by his parent's to study Agricultural Science after highschool Dazza picked up a remarkably broad education, mostly by spending a lot of his free time dropping on whatever lectures seemed interesting on the day, and is prone to spouting half remembered phrases from political science, feminist theory, or queer literature, if it seems appropriate to him. He's the first to admit that his experience with vampires is limited, after an unfortunate encounter in the local police station's jail cell with an unknown kindred, he spent his first year as a vampire living alone on the family farm, feeding of their cattle and making occasional appearances at his local pub. An encounter with Calico lead to a connection with Mersaydyse that eventually brought him to the attention of the Canberra Anarachs. At Mersaydyse urging he has formed a tentative connection to the Kweenz.

Appearance

At just over six feet, Dazza is near 100kg of prime Australian Beef, with sunburn tan still visible beneath his slight undead pallor, and short curly brown hair. Dazza prefers simple, work-ready clothes, but will often dress up a bit more *country chic* if going to a 'fancy do'.

Personality

Dazza tends towards the painfully earnest, by vampiric standards, offering a ready smile and gentle sympathy in the face of the many horrors encountered by vampires and kine alike. His anger rarely manifests itself, but a keenly honed sense of justice coupled with a deep distaste for bullies will often produce sudden and shockingly calm outbursts of violence from the otherwise gentle handed hick.

Mortal Days

Dazza was (and still is) the oldest of two siblings, and grew up on the family cattle farm on the outskirts of Canberra. Always big for his age he was taught the importance of self control and kindness from an early age. He developed a reputation as a good-natured and helpful young man, making friends easily in his rural community. After high school, his parents sent him away to study Ag-science, the better to manage the farm later on. Not one for large parties or loud social groups, he often filled his spare time by dropping on whatever courses or lectures seemed interesting at the time.

Within a few years Dazza and his sister sadly inherited the family farm, after their parent's deaths due to cancer and complicated pneumonia. Dazza took over the farm, whilst his sister Mary moved to the city to better access services there.

Dazza's mortal life ended due to an unfortunate incident at the local pub. While helping to peacefully resolve a minor brawl (holding each man apart by the neck until they settled down), a newly transferred constable mistook Dazza for the aggressor and hauled him off to the station.

Kindred Nights

While waiting overnight to be processed, Dazza's cellmate turned out to be an unidentified Brujah. Fearing the prospect being trapped in a police cell come dawn, the stranger pounced on Dazza and performed a hasty embrace, before utilizing their combined vampiric strength to pry apart the bars for an escape.

His sire's mentor ship consisted entirely of quick instruction that he was now a vampire, should keep that fact a secret, and avoid sunlight, before disappearing off into the night.
