Hemera - "I don't have any responsibility in the Gangrel or Lance. I'm not a good Lance, not like you as Confessor and Nuncio. I don't even have a position."

Nyx - "Want a position? Go earn one. I did. And you think you're a bad Lance? I turned down the chance for death more than once. There's a reason I say Ash is the the biggest mistake I made. He could have been Lance, and I'm the reason he's not."

Hemera - "Oh... But it's different for me than you, it was easier for you. My sire never taught me anything."

Nyx laughs harshly.

Nyx - "You mean Grim? Do you know what he taught me? He embraced me and ten minutes later sent me away because I was wanted for a triple homicide. He taught me like a proper Gangrel, and I will always be glad."

Hemera - "But you taught me everything I know, how did you learn?"

Nyx - "I learnt as I found my path. I almost killed an ally by raking claws down his spine before learning how dangerous they were. I killed innocents when I didn't know how to feed. I killed more when I didn't know how to stop. I have a blood bond to one of my friends. I learned that we can't fight tooth and claw with our kind, only claw."

Hemera - "No-one ever cared enough about me to blood bond me."

Nyx - "What? Cared enough?. Do you want a blood bond to me? I'll give you one right now."

Nyx holds out a wrist, offering to break the skin. After pausing for Hemera to think, she drops her wrist and continues talking.

Nyx - "No? Good. A blood bond makes you a slave. I did it to that stupid piece of shit's sire because we had to make sure he didn't have the ability to kill me, not because I cared about him."

Hemera - "But how I feel about you already is like having a blood bond. I would die for you Nyx."

Nyx - "No. Stop talking stupid or I'll box you."
