Titles: The Right Honourable Alder Battuo Aurialanus. Marquis of Sydney, Master of Elysium, Judex of the Unconquered.

Notable Traits:

• In public wears an immaculately tailored 3 piece suit. On Elysium grounds he wears the height of European fashion, from the mid 1600's. He is never seen without a Venetian Mask, which has earned him the nickname "Baron Bautone".
• Always exceptionally polite. Somewhat creepy but with a sense of humour that surprisingly sometimes comes out in puns and references to modern culture. He's a lot more in touch with the modern world than an Elder has any real right to be.

He is truly, deeply in love with Sydney as a city and see's its development as his primary goal.

• Somewhat paternal to pretty much every one he interacts with.

Information Known by Kindred Society

• Appointed Keeper of Elysium of Sydney by Governor Bush in 1793 and has been ever since.

• His beast rarely comes out, he has made a concerted effort to keep his humanity high and his blood potency low. It surfaces mostly when the traditions, Elysium or one of his line are threatened.

Timeline

• 1606 - Born in Venice in the year the entire nation was excommunicated.
• 1650 - Embraced by a powerful mystic, rumoured to have been a very influential Invictus of the court of Venice.

• 1760 - Travels to the new colony of Sydney with Peter Bush.
• 1790 - Arrives in Sydney aboard the Eventide with Peter Bush.

• 1793 - Becomes Keeper of Elysium as the First free settlers arrive.

• 1832 - Embraced Tiberius Harkonus Augustus Marcellarius
• 1840 - Went to Paris to study its reconstruction to aid in the development of Sydney.
• 1850 - Ghouls a promising achitect and alchemist Kaida
• 1860 - Embraces Kaida and takes her back to Sydney where they sneak into the city, reopen the Elysiums and aid Bush in infiltrating Kindred back into Sydney for the coming siege. The pair also provide considerable, eerily accurate intelligence on Brood strongholds and enemy movements during the war.

• 1893 - Still Keeper of Elysium.

• 1906 - The Night of Three Princes. Expels everyone from Elysium until Governor Julius Rose is punished for breaching Elysium.
• 1919-1958 Is particularly active in court.
• 1975 - (April 1st)Confronts Governor Gallagher over her abuse of the definition and jurisdiction of the Fourth Tradition. A newly embraced Kindred called Sylvia Bertoni, childe of Jeremiah Stone was presented to the domain and bought before Governor Gallagher. Governor Gallagher took the fledgling away and an hour later bought her back bloodied and on the brink of Final Death. The majority of the Court sided with Bautone.

While most of the court flee the city during the war with the Governor's Brood allys, Bautone and a few of his childer bunker down in the City's Elysiums and hold out for the next 4 years. Some Kindred tell of Bautone entering combat with a pair of rapiers and the footwork of a master, some tell of battles where he, Batavia and Bernard Estera holding their own against Brood forces that greatly outnumbered them, some tell of the familiarity Bautone had with the Brood stongholds, almost as if he had walked through them himself. It is unclear if he was ever a member of The Right Honourable Order of the Iron Wall, but he has been seen to wear a cravat that seems to be made from the same silk as the Order's ceremonial sashes. He certainly came out of the war with a firm alliance and mutual respect for Estera, the two are rarely, if ever seen at cross purposes.

• 1979 - As Abigail Gallagher and the last of the Brood are driven from the City. Bautone re-opens the Elysiums.

• 1993 - Still Keeper of Elysium.

• 2013 - Still Keeper.
