Red Servant

Appearance

Red is a non-binary person, appearing around their early to mid 20s. They dress primarily in red and black colours and almost exclusively wear a red face mask that covers the lower half of their face.

Red tends to fade into the background; nondescript and forgettable is both what they prefer, and what is required of them. They have an average build, average height, and cover their hair in a red bandanna. Almost everything about them is intended for obscurity, anonymity, and professionalism.

Personality

In public, Red is the perfect servant. Attentive and unobtrusive, they take every order from their master with the utmost sincerity and go through with every task to the bitter end. They are polite to vampires and appear to instinctively follow every rule a ghoul is meant to follow.

In themselves, they have an obsessive, violent, vengeful streak. Any slight to their master they will repay, any offence to their master will be taken personally. They have no problem with violence and see death as a part of life.

Their relationship with their master takes on a ritualistic, obsessive quality. To some, they are the leashed hound with a taste for the blood of the livestock that they protect. To others, they are the seeds of a nosferatu in ghoul form.

Red was born in Ireland and had a younger sibling. Their assigned gender at birth is unnecessary, and will never be known.

Rex found Red when they (Red) were five years old. Red had killed their mother and sibling, burned down their house, and successfully framed their father for the act. After finding Red, Rex orchestrated the upbringing of Red to create the perfect ghoul. Red was already a monster, so Rex worked to create conditional limits on their passions and violence. Rex intended to create other pathways for Red to gain attachments to others, tried to create a specific framework to see the world through, and limits for their natural urge for destruction.

Red was ghouled in the 1960s and went through some intense conditioning with Rex around almost every aspect of their life. From the way they were fed to how they interacted, there were strict rules placed that were enforced with an almost Pavlovian style of reinforcement.

At first, Red's relationship with Rex was of master and servant. However, on the 30th of January, 1972, the carefully cultivated relationship between Rex and Red Changed. The pair will admit that they were involved in the events of Bloody Sunday, in Northern Ireland. Neither has shared the story, but others that knew both Rex Leviticus and Red will claim that the events of that night were what started the chain of events that ended with Red becoming more than just the ideal Nosferatu Ghoul.
