Maddy was born to Angela and Marco Palma on the 1st or March 1980. They had immigrated a few years before hand from Italy to make the most of the mining boom that had started with Olympic Damn. She is the eldest of three children, her brother Antonio was born just over a year after herself, and her sister Natasha was born less than a year after her brother.

At the age of 4, Maddy's parents noticed that she had a natural talent for dancing. They quickly enrolled her in the local dance school. It was not long till she rose to the top of the class and was always at the front for recitals. This talent continued to blossom as she moved along into High School. She continued to study dance externally, but also internally. Dance was always her love and her passion, but she still managed to maintain a B-grade average when she graduated. She also graduated the top of her dance class. Her instructor asked her to choreograph the final recital for her class for the year. It was a smash hit. That same year, her father died in a mining accident. They were never really told what actually happened.

Maddy had had plans to board down to Adelaide and attend University, but as her siblings were still in school, she had to give up that dream and find work to help support her family. She managed to find work at one of the clubs in town, Illusion. She started as a waitress, but the owner soon realised where her talents actually lay. Within 6 months, she was dancing in the downstairs club.

• 1985 - Parents enrolled her in dance school. Quickly rose to the top of the class
• 1993 - Started High School. Continued Dance externally as well
• 1998 - Graduated High School with a B-Grade average. Top of her class for dance. Choreographed the final recital for the year.
• 1999 - Her father dies in an accident in the mines. They never find out what happened.
  • Started working at Illusion as a waitress to support her family as her sibling were still in school, meaning she couldn't go to University. 6 months later, was moved downstairs and started dancing.
    • Was assaulted on her way home from work. Raped my a group of men, they then stabbed her repeatedly before running off and leaving her for dead. Was found by a co-worker. Took her months to fully recover. Club owner put her in charge of Choreography while she recovered.
• 2000 - Both her siblings left Roxby Downs for Adelaide to study.
  • - While walking home one night, she was approached by the town Bishop. He offered her paid work to model for him while he painted. She was enchanted by him and accepted. As he finished the painting, to preserve her, he embraced her.
• 2000 to 2005 - Continued to work at Illusion. Under instruction from Bishop Cruz about Kindred Faith. She listened, but never really took it in. He decided to to the right thing and released her. The same year, she joined the Carthians.
