Appearance
Always seen with an item that he belives shows his specialties and profession - a cane (Sherlock Holmes), a Leather Coat (film noir inspired) or something else that would seem to relate to the investigators historical appearance. Is of middling height, and without his goatee would almost seem to be one of the most ordinary looking people many would see.
Personality
Calm and deliberate - He seems to view anything that happens as an investigation needing to happen, and when he acts it always seem to be part of a larger plan.
