Personal Information
Appearance
Nyx is average height, young, has golden eyes, and a mop of messy dark hair.
She wears a lot of leather, as is common with the Satan's Spawn. Think leather pants, and leather jacket. She has a bronze wolfs head mounted on a cross that hangs from her neck beside the lance that marks her as one of the Lancea Sanctum, a cross tattooed on her right middle finger and left wrist, and three doves along her chest.
Nyx walks and talks with confidence. At least until she's asked a difficult question, at which point she defers to her betters.
Personality
Growing up, Nyx was a somewhat of a bully, and that hasn't completely stopped now that she's dead. While she accepts that there are those bigger and scarier than her, she will stand up for what she believes in, no matter the cost. Especially in the case of defence of her family.
She has had some sense knocked in to her since her embrace however, and she doesn't just kill for the fun of it anymore. Her time spent with other vampires has given her some level of chill (although not much) and encouraged her to focus on more important things. This hasn't removed her mean streak and she won't hesitate to call others out on their actions if she thinks it's necessary.
Nyx is devoutly loyal to her sire, the Satan's Spawn, and Lancea Sanctum. Recently she's had somewhat of a crisis with regards to her faith.
If someone has earned her loyalty she will do everything she can to aid them in their endeavours. However, due to previous experiences, Nyx tends to take all betrayal extremely badly.
Mortal World
Spent a lot of her youth in trouble with her school, her parents, the law and any other source of authority. Since she was ‘murdered’ in 2013 she’s not been seen much in the mortal world, save for the occasional brush with the law under an alias, and rival gangs.

1994 – JUNE Mira Jade Dareton born in a small town outside Melbourne to two very religious parents.
1997 – APRIL Asks her father to let her go shooting after watching a particularly violent movie. Her mother is horrified. They encourage her to pick up a better hobby.
1999 – MAY Begins baseball and karate. She gets bored of Karate and by the end of November, she refuses to go.
1999 – JUNE Given her own crucifix on a chain for her fifth birthday. She treasures it, and it is the only thing she never takes off as her mother has put the fear of god into her daughter of what might happen if her faith waivers. She calls it her lucky-fix.
2001 – JULY Joins a proper baseball team. Continues to play until her family moves to Queensland.
2002 – AUGUST Kills Maya Dalton, a schoolgirl, on a playground during an argument. They were pushing each other, and Mira pushed her off the equipment. The girl falls and hits her head as she goes down. Found to be a tragic accident.
2002 – NOVEMBER Five students including Mira burn part of the school after they were playing with matches. She took the blame for her four friends. The judge takes pity on her, and believes she only took the blame because they forced her (much to her pleas otherwise). She avoids juvenile detention, but is required to help fix the school along with the other four.
2003 – FEBRUARY Her parents move to Queensland, to get her away from ‘those troublemakers’.
2004 – JANUARY Agrees to do a ballet class to seem more girly for her mother. Joins a Baseball team.
2004 – AUGUST Kicked out of ballet for bullying another girl. She continues baseball.
2007 – MAY While practicing baseball in the backyard with her father, she hits him in the head. Her mother, who had been drinking that afternoon, claims to the court that she heard her daughter yell ‘home run’ when she hit her father. Mira denies this. The courts find that she did not murder her father. It was an accident that occurred when she swung to hit the ball he had thrown, and did not realise that he had run in to grab her at the same time. Her mother, certain her daughter is guilty, removes Mira from her will and refuses to look after the child. Mira is forced to provide for herself, and does so in dangerous and unhealthy ways.
2007 – SEPTEMBER Mira’s mother drinks herself to death from grief.
2008 – APRIL Arrested for theft, and assault. She spends sixteen months in prison.
2009 – OCTOBER Mira moves to South Australia and takes on the guise of Maya Dalton, the girl she killed on the playground. Manages to get the records in order as needed.
2010 – FEBRUARY Picked up for assault and theft. Later found not guilty, as there was not enough evidence against her.
2010 – JUNE Picked up off the street for minor assault. Released after nine months for good behaviour.
2011 – NOVEMBER Moves to Canberra. Mira Dareton is finally seen again after being missing for so many months. Stays mostly out of trouble for several months save for when she is beaten bloody and robbed.
2012 – MAY Joins the Satan Spawn.
2013 – FEBRUARY Murder committed by some members of the gang with a long list of crimes to their name. Mira, who has a -relatively- clean record, leaves that night with their weapons, goes to the crime scene, covers it with her fingerprints and then goes to the station and turns herself in.
2013 – MARCH Bailed out by a mysterious friend who left her with details of how to get her crucifix that was stolen in 2011. She walks right into an ambush and is almost killed but manages to get the crucifix back. Found by Grim and embraced.
2013 – APRIL Travels away from Canberra while the murder charges are still standing.
2013 – JUNE Mira Jade Dareton declared dead and two men are charged with her murder.
Recent History
2015
- JUL - Arrives in Sydney briefly, has a bit of an argument with Ferdinand Wolfe about his beliefs and stupidity. Arrives in Canberra and goes to help deal with the Zombie problem that works out being a Hunter problem as well.
- AUG - In Sydney she joined a brood hunt and blood bonded/conditioned one Nosferatu member with the help of Adrian Barnes. In Canberra she looked after the torpid body of Mr Simms while the Court debated. She struggled to maintain her rage through the night as Artemis flaunted her way around the Court.
- SEP - In Sydney she refuses to get involved in the witch-hunt and instead talks to her Nosferatu friend instead. She leaves after Fatimah to try and convince her to stay, and while she failed, she managed to persuade her to at least visit Canberra. In Canberra she decided not to enter the tournament, before being 'convinced otherwise' and won the tournament. She became Assistant Harpy, went hunting with Melieke and Ash, and kept her calm around Artemis.
- OCT - Went to the Conclave in Brisbane where she was elected Nuncio (Speaker of the Lance) and torpored Bartholomew for a short time as punishment for his mistakes. Left with a gift from the Bishop. Went to Sydney and worked through some issues with Alim, Fatimah and Karlin and learnt a lot more than she wanted to. Was extorted for a life boon by Tyron for the torpor of Artemis.
- NOV - In Canberra Nyx has the Life Boon changed to 2 major boons and one is called for Praxis support. Then she speaks to Melieke and Grim in regards to information from Hackett that concerns her as well as in regards to dreams she's been having about a possible necromancer. She does not go to Sydney as she is staked during that time. She does however travel to Brisbane after an altercation with Hackett. While there she speaks to the Bishop about Hackett's confession of love for her. She also speaks to the Cardinal about the same thing. She then arrives at the Court and is given two new Gangrel brothers to look after until the Primogen shows up. She explains to the Bishop and Cardinal what Hackett did to her after the Court in Canberra, and the agree with her that what he did was wrong and that he must be torpored. He enters voluntary torpor and once he has, Nyx is given the right to put a stake with 'Jaymss Hakkitt' on it. Later on they discover Karlin has become addicted to Synthblood and they crucify her, with Nyx being the one to put the Lance into her side while she is on the cross.
- DEC - Went to Sydney, and helped some unexpected new friends. She tries hard to save them, and finds some way to do so. In Canberra Kaida approaches Nyx and asks her if she would pay to be Assistant Harpy. Nyx laughs in her face. Kaida explains that the Prince had asked for her to do this and it was not of her own volition. Nyx tells her to go stand up to him. Nyx then spends the rest of the time at Court watching the fallout.
2016
- JAN - Nyx and Kaida come to heads when Kaida insults Nyx's clan-mates abilities and Nyx asks Kaida to prove herself, which results in Kaida frenzying on to her outside. Nyx torpors her when she wouldn't stop hitting Nyx in her frenzy. After this she wakes Kaida and then explains her position to the Prince, and then to the Harpy. She then has a disagreement with Scrap and got some advice from Grim which she actually listened to. In between all of this, she also has a few exchanges with Ash Maddox and meets the new arrival Loki. By the end of the night Catherine calls her explaining she can no longer live with her Sire and asks to come with Nyx for a while.
- FEB - Nyx found that a friend she had known in Darwin had embraced on her way to Canberra to come visit. She got rather angry but then showed the newbie how to interact with some of the Court. Nyx also spent a lot of time with Ash, much to her sire's displeasure. There was an attack on the Court which Nyx participated in and helped curb.
- MAR - Nyx was mysteriously missing from this months gathering, as was her sire. However it was not enough to prevent Glaux from incorrectly informing a spirit that Nyx meant Darkness.
- APR - Arrives with Hemera and has a chat to some of her allies. Before long she's asked to go on a Crocodile hunt, which she does. She is disappointed by Hemera's efforts and when the group departs the nearby lake, she calls Wade Grayson to her. He comes and apologises for screwing her over. Nyx tells him that he needs to apologise properly and so he removes his own legs and one of his arms with a rock. Hemera, fearful of what she's just seen, promises never to betray Nyx. Nyx then gets her to put Grayson's body into the lake so that mortals won't find it.
- MAY - Nyx finds out a Nosferatu in Sydney has sired and sent his childe to 'protect her'. She is dealing with this when Hemera announces she's leaving, after having been thrown in a bath by Nyx. Wade Grayson frenzies onto Nyx and attempts to punch her when someone uses Animalism on him, resulting in her breaking his jaw and then having people intervene for fear she'd kill him. When Loki is revealed as the culprit, she takes him outside and Six removes his hand when he tries to shoot her. A shadowy figure arrives in the Court and threatens it shortly before asking for Nyx, then kills himself. Later Grim is made Bishop as she had asked of Fatimah. Nyx then speaks with Ady about her sire and gets information she needs before finding out she's hosting the next gathering and leaves.
- JUN - Nyx hosts this Court gathering at a new Mexican Club expected to open in Civic soon. She has a chat with Ed about his following of her and pacing of the room and asks him to stop. When Hemera arrives she has a chat with her. Strangely she is seen speaking to Lady J for a time without once rolling her eyes in disgust. When her sire walks in, they spend a long while talking, culminating in him leaving her when it's seen that Hemera is causing commotion again. She takes Hemera outside and has a long talk to her, in which it becomes apparent to Nyx that Hemera's attachment to her is unhealthy. She tries to talk her out of it, but can't. She gives up and the two go back inside. Nyx then sits down with the new kindred Lazare, and asks him about himself. After getting annoyed at his attempts to talk around her questions, she asks him bluntly and he answers. The conversation ends with both confused about what happened.
- JUL - Nyx did not make it to Court this month as she was tied up with other engagements.
- AUG - Nyx watches as Six claims Prince, shortly before being named Hound. She is informed about Fatimah's diablerie and it is made clear that Six wishes for her to be the one to strike the final blow. Nyx speaks to Fatimah privately and confirms what happened, as well as having a chat with other members of the Court. She is forced to accept that Hemera won't leave her alone anytime soon, and she requests several times to deal with Ed, a request her sire denies. Nyx also has some interactions with Lazare and his ghoul, whom Nyx finds as distasteful as her master.
- SEP - Nyx is not present at the gathering, she is busy watching over Fatimah instead.
- OCT - Nyx attends the national gathering in Canberra. During this time she is elected as Head of Clan Gangrel, and has several interesting discussions with her allies. On the first night, she torpors Fatimah and collects up her belongings. On the second night, she steps down as Nuncio and watches as her Sire is elected to fill the role. Before the council can meet, everyone is dropped into a sinkhole under an Invictus Haven and the entire gathering is set upon by Kormac, raising questions about how they did not know and why weapons had been disallowed.
- NOV - Nyx is delayed in her arrival due to tracking down of Grayson's sire. On arrival she is disappointed in Hemera upon finding of her treachery. She has other things to focus on, with discussions occurring between her and Fujita Kazuhiko, Ady, Six, Yusef, and Mr. Brown at varying times through the night. Everyone barring her sire is smart enough not to comment on her attire. She walks out at the end of the gathering, disgusted with the betrayal by a once ally and the behaviour exhibited.
- DEC - Nyx and other Court members arrive. Six is called to an Invictus meeting where he meets final death. The Invictus refuse to disclose who struck the final blow. To the surprise of her, and others, Nyx is made Princes Harpy by Fujita Kazuhiko and told to advise of things that are worthy of comment. She notes that when Scrap took Benji out to deal with something, it was her and Grim who were able to bring back the vans rather than the sheriff and his dog-coated friend. She also noted a boon for Benji.
2017
- JAN - Arrives late after taking Bone and Ady to deal with her siblings. Later, she meets Jocasta Flamel and winds up punching her in the face after one of Jocasta's signature fire incidents. Speaks with Fujita, and keeps and eye on some of the dodgier members of the Court, and particularly, the Invictus. at the end of the night, she leaves with Grim.
- FEB - Neither Nyx nor Grim are present at Court. Nyx kills the individual responsible for Fatimah's diablerie.
- MAR - Neither Nyx nor Grim are present at the gathering. However, Nyx is out hunting for Ady's sire.
- APR - Arrives with Grim and then goes to speak with Ady. When she comes back, there is a Gangrel meeting, and it is decided she should be Gangrel Priscus as Bradshaw is missing, along with the rest of the Invictus barring Catherine Knight, who has remained. Later, Grim, Ady, and her mount an attack on the Oathbroken and Masquerade-breaking Hemera. She resists them, and she is killed at the hands of Nyx and Ady. Nyx is removed from Prince's Harpy and made Hound as 'punishment' for going too far and not only torporing her.
- MAY - Nyx and Grim are away from Court, hunting larvae and punishing sinners.
- JUN - Nyx admits she's never seen a movie to the small group who were at Court, and 8-Ball fights her for the right to take her to one and to have her as well. The condition of her winning is he gets a matching tattoo to one she has already, and she chooses. She comes out on top with his fang in her hand and lounges around the throne. 8-Ball has to get one to match her back tattoo. She hears that Scrap has arrived back in the city and is crazy. In the middle of a fight, she carelessly orders his death. 8-Ball does not argue with her call. Meets Ash Thomas and is reminded of her old friend and how much she misses him, a fact she denies vehemently (albeit badly). Later in the month her and Grim visit Brisbane at the request of Prince Vilrec.
