History
Born 1905 Chicago to an Italian Father, Marco Vercilla, and an Irish Mother, Elizabeth Dodds, Alister’s childhood was generally one of ridicule and violence. Prodded, poked and abused for his mixed heritage he quickly learn to look after himself and by his early teens he had already been arrested once or twice for knocking a few kids to the floor at school. He often proclaimed self-defence but even the police truly wanted nothing to do with this offspring of two immigrants and compared to pure American’s his words were often ignored or went without being believed.
However oddly enough despite the issues he stuck heavily to the idea of family, doing things for others and as he aged he still thoroughly believed in helping out those less fortunate than himself which usually turned to other immigrant children. By the time he was sixteen he had fallen in with a group of Italian American kids and soon found himself part of one of the Mafia families working his way around the city carrying out jobs for the Capo’s and his new family. This was the time of the prohibition and after he turned eighteen he found himself heading a speakeasy in the slums for the family.
Managing became a lot easier to him than the other jobs did and he soon found himself bringing in large revenue for the family and himself and as the years progressed he found the family trusting enough to simply let him be and keep making them money which he was more than content to do. However as prohibition ended he found himself without the work he was so used as liquor had become legalised again, he enlisted the help of an old friend to take over the bar and was taken back into the core of the family in hopes of other projects he could work on, for his service he was promoted to Capo and given charge of his own soldiers.
Sometime during the end of the Prohibition and 1938 he was rumoured to have been Committed after suffering a severe mental breakdown after the loss of dear friend in Car crash. Unable to cope he was locked up, put on watch and kept an eye on for around five years till he was able to cope. However he wasn't entirely the same from then on out.
Around about 1938 when rumours of war began to spread and as war began to break out Italian families were questioned and some were incarcerated for fear of them being loyal to Italy. Many of his brothers were targeted and placed in camps with their families but Alister had different plans and attempted to, with the blessing of his family, Enlist in the military. He was instantly turned away for his heritage, the Irish not even being considered since it was his mothers, and was told he either would stay out of it or find himself in one of the camps. Infuriated he struck out at the racist officer and found himself on the run the next second for assault.
He found himself soon with the help of the family on a ship bound for Australia and in 1939 he found himself in a small town in South Australia as technically an illegal Alien but with enough contacts to keep his head down. For a year nothing happened then came Christmas where having been cut off from his loved ones for so long he found himself nursing a liquor in the back of a bar when a woman approached. They ended up talking and from there his life changed nothing would remain the same.
After his embrace he stayed with his sire for about ten years before he found out information that made him leave his new home town. He wound up in Sydney where he met Lady J and the Invictus. Entranced he soon found himself being trained in the Invictus ways by an Au Pair and after a few years soon found himself a Vassal of Lady J. Though in truth he isn’t quite sure she remembers making him a vassal as she seemed a bit out of sorts but the next thing he knew he was sent to Melbourne to help extend her reach and there he stayed until recently.
He managed to join up with a branch of the Australian Mafia whilst in Melbourne and offered his services, money and retainers over the years. He currently holds his old title of Capo though only in Melbourne, as it stands he is unsure of the situation of the families in Adelaide and will be curious to find out.
Appearance
Kind of wears what he wants, for formal occasions he can be seen wearing suits, waistcoats, ties, fedoras as a throw back to his human years but he prefers comfort to formality at the best of times. Long jackets are his favourite admittedly and anything 1920's to the 30's makes his heart melt but he discovered drawing too much attention these days can be an issue so keeps himself dressed depending on his mood and the current setting.
Oddly enough besides his 1920's 30's favourites he has a soft spot for the alternative lifestyles off today's generations. A few of his clubs reflect this in the sense they cater to that genre of music and lifestyle.
His hair is usually of a longer mop of brownish red but most knights he will take the time to shave it and craft it as he sees fit. Has a habit of changing his appearance as he see's fit which became a habit of his from when he ran on the streets. After all if the police are looking for someone with a shaved head they wont expect to look the next day at someone with hair...after all nothing grows that fast.
Personality
He is pretty down to earth, fun loving and not as serious as some would expect. He's open to new ideas, willing to listen and willing to defend those who have been wronged or are being attacked. However he is big on family and the value of honour. So if anyone does anything to betray these values they often see a completely different side of him, one he learnt on the streets and with the Mafia during the 30's after all he isn't a Capo for being nice. He's remarkable charitable as well often looking after anyone in trouble and providing security, money and donations to local funds if he can, given he has no real need for the mass income he generates after all these years.
On top of this he's respectful and polite and has no wish to be rude. He's an Invictus after all. Respect is everything.
Mortal World
Runs several clubs via his retainers, part of the Australian/Italian Mafia as a Capo and has a small entertainment empire in Melbourne. Attends functions and events and is often known to host charity balls to raise funds for one thing or another. Most of his clubs involve the Alternative lifestyle and most contain private members rooms where anything goes if he can provide it.

Quotes
Quotes By
- “Charitable acts and family are the key points to defining a man and seperating him from a monster. Via charity we give all we can to those less fortunate than us or put our own efforts into helping those in need. With family we have the ties to keep us sane, to keep us apart of something more than us. Charity and Family can be all we need, yet they both come with a terrible downside. Should one betray the trust you put in them via your charity or your love then there is no other end for them. Loyalty until death. ” – Charity and Family
