This VSS is coupled with and exists under the DSS (Domain Style Sheet) for the TA Domain. All history, settings, themes and rules contained therein apply to this VSS. The intent at the beginning of this chronicle is to emphasise the core themes of Requiem CofD, whilst highlighting the changes between this, and Requiem 1.0. There will be a lot of education in the early days. This will be a game of story, and genuinely collaborative storytelling. Though PvP is expected,  OOC competition, cheese-mongering and play-to-win tactics should be left at the door.
+
Information about our games can also be found on our facebook group page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/968740429888553/<BR><BR>
You’ll notice later in this document, that a big chunk of your monthly beats (XP potential), is based on what you do for the game OOC, up to and including running recurring NPCs, and plots for other players. Be excellent to each other. Understand that it is just a game, but that like with all games, it’s less fun for everyone if someone isn’t enjoying themselves. Everyone should, at all times, keep the enjoyment of every other player in mind. I want to know as soon as you’re not having good time, or suspect someone else may not be, and we’ll do our best to rectify the issue.
+
For out of character mailing lists, please go to [mailto:ooc.brisbane@lists.beyondthesunset.org.au] <BR><BR>
Though I expect PvP, I aim to keep character death to a minimum. Surrender and defeat are core aspects of Requiem CofD. Keep in the forefront of your mind, the enjoyment of the game and progression of story, for yourself and others, as we all learn the new system

The official addenda should be referred to for in-game content at http://wiki.shadowplayinternational.org/index.php/Global_Addenda_and_Settings_Documents, please refer to Chronicles of Darkness (NWoD 2nd Edition), Vampire: the Requiem 2e for the appropriate content and their approval levels.<BR>

==HISTORY==
+
=2. GAME INFORMATION=
Recent History: The court and domain of Brisbane grew. and as they grew in numbers and political power they waned in what made them vampires. they lost the instinct of knowing when they were the hunted, and they lost the edge of a true predator. They grew indulgent, over feeding and breaking the masquerade when is suited them. bringing unwanted attention without even knowing it.
+
==2.1. Genre==
So when the Iscariot came with "cleansing flame and blade!." they didn't stand a chance.
+
Chronicles of Darkness: Vampire: the Requiem 2nd Edition <BR>

Hunters arrived and tracked them in secret locating Elysium and havens across the city over several months
+
==2.2. Setting==
The kindred did not see those who tacked them, and then in a single day over 90% kindred of Brisbane met their final death.
+
Brisbane, Queensland<BR>
They came fast swift and strong against all the supernaturals in Brisbane. Those they did not kill were the lowest of the low, who ran off and didn't come back for fear of the true death.

Even the necropolis was no protection.

Present Day: Brisbane is quiet, as quiet as a capital city can be.

There are no more supernaturals that people are aware of left in the city, or those that are there have hidden themselves as to not draw the attention of watchful eyes left in the city.

As kindred return to the city, they know not what hunters remain.

==THEMES==
+
===2.2.1. Introduction:===
====Paranoia====

Hunters wiped out the previous court.

No one knows who or how many remain

Turf War: As kindred immigrate to Brisbane territories will be established and fought over, Physically or Politically.

====Court Building====

Without a court, everyone enters on an equal footing.

Will a traditional court arise out of the ashes, and who will reign supreme?

==CHARACTER CREATION==

====Histories====

Being from Brisbane prior or during the purge with special approval only.

Backgrounds from areas covered by other domains requires approval from that domain.

====Leadership====
+
===2.2.2. The City:===
There are no leaders in Brisbane at the current time. at this time no characters will start with city status.

====Bloodlines====

Bloodlines not written explicitly for the CofD Chronicle will not be aproved

====Age====

Most characters will be younger kindred.

Older character concepts will require background that supports the lower XP at creation (EG Torpor)

====Flaws====

Please, make your character a flawed being. In any given situation, the VST should be able to ask, “How could a random person defeat you, or change your mind right now?” and you should have an answer. Make it a flaw you’ll enjoy playing, knowing it’ll set you back.

====Covenants====

Keep in mind the settings and special benefits associated with local covenants when making new characters.

 +
===2.2.4. The Economy:===

==DOWNTIME==
+
===2.2.5. The Infrastructure:===
This is not going to be a downtime heavy game. Downtime is firstly, for submitting XP spends, approvals and asking questions. Please keep downtime actions simple and to the point. Decent game reports will also earn you beats.

STARTING VITAE AND WILLPOWER

Starting blood is based on the state of the city, herd, haven location, and downtime feeding actions. I will endeavour to have this on character sheets for game Willpower regenerates at a rate of 1 per week

Beats will be easier to earn in groups as the game has a focus on team work and cabals. Players who tackle Obsessions and Mysteries together will progress further and gain beats more rapidly than those who work alone. Similarly, working in groups gives more opportunities for dramatic events or revelations to occur.<BR><BR>

At the conclusion of every game, members enter the Circle of Love Nominations channel on the Discord server and tag their favourite player to nominate them for Circle of Love. After a period of 48 hours (2 days from the conclusion of game) the votes are tallied and a winner is announced to venue. The winner must speak to the VST in order to receive their prize. The prizes are defined as the following:<BR>
| Role-playing
+
* '''Clue Card''' - this item allows the player to solve one plot in the venue by finding the right method at the right time, this is a guaranteed Deus Ex Machina if a plot cannot be resolved amongst the PCs. A player may only hold one of these at any time.<BR>
|
+
* '''Exceptional Moment''' - this item allows a player to perfect any single dice roll (positively or negatively), on them self or any other character (PC or NPC). This reward can only be claimed once and must be declared before the roll is made. A player may only hold one of these at any time.<BR>
|-
+
* '''Choose Your Own Adventure''' - this item allows a player to nominate a game ahead of time where a scene or event will play out. This can allow the resolution of Obsession or Aspirations, an exciting thing you have wanted to explore, or just to have a game centred on what you want to play. This will affect the entire venue but will predominantly effect the player that uses this item. A player may only hold one of these at any time.<BR>
| 1
+
Circle of Love prizes are monitored as a custom merit of 5 dots on the character sheet of that player (that costs no XP) and is removed once the item is spent. This is to allow the player to know if they have their item and to know what they hold. A player may hold all 3 types of reward at the same time, they may not hold more than one of the same type.

**A.    LARP is not a “shoot-em-up”. You don't get notches in your belt for killing other PCs. You don't win by making the game miserable for everyone else. This is a storytelling game, and you win by telling a good story with others.  If you do insist on making the game miserable for everyone else, the presiding storyteller has every right to tell you, in plain and simple terms, “No. Not here, not today.”<BR>
