Citadel of the Brisbane Necropolis

Haunt

The Necropolis is a level 5 Haunt with a Domain of 160m radius of the exterior of the building. Reinforced with Stygian steel plates, shutters on the windows and an Anacreon who is acknowledged as a powerful Harbinger, the Citadel has easily withstood the Force 1 and Force 2 Maelstroms that have washed over Brisbane.

Structure

The original structure of the Citadel was made of wood and this is very apparent on the inside. The exterior has been reinforced with Stygian Steel plates held in place by rivets of the same material. The many windows did not bring across their glass fittings, instead there are sturdy bars of Stygian Steel worked in an ornate looping design. There are internal shutters of wood reinforced with bands of Stygian Steel that can be barred in the event of attack or maelstrom.

Entrances

The main entrance of the Citadel overlooks Bowen Hills, facing south west towards the centre of the Necropolis. it has three entrances on the south east side that empty into an open space in the first two cases and the rearmost empties into a large covered visitors parking area for the Quick. There is a dock to the rear (north east) of the Citadel with two sets of 4m wide double doors.

Main Hall

Upon passing through the main entrance a visitor steps immediately into the main hall. A vast area kept clear for wraiths in the centre with various cupboards, tea chests, trunks and all manner of smaller domestic containers positioned and stacked about the edges of the hall, leaving only the windows clear. At the far end of the hall is the main outer wall of the undercover parking for the residents of the Quick apartments, cutting off one third of the hall to wraiths not willing to spend a corpus trait to walk through the wall. On the other side of this wall is a room accessible by the rearmost-entrance on the south east side of the building and through the props and sets rooms to the north east. This room, known as the Council Chamber, contains the Anacreon's Table along with nine seats and various ornate containers.

Side Rooms

On the north west wall, starting from the main entrance, is the armoury, formerly coat and bag check-in, a large open space which was the ladies' powder room but is now used for storage, the Gentlemen's room which has been remodelled to serve as a short-term gaol, and a storage room which was once the refreshment stall. The north east (rear) of the Citadel has four props and sets rooms, all linked by reinforced doors and with 4m double doors that open into the main hall. These are used for storage.

Security

The main entrance to the Citadel is guarded night and day by a fully armed and armoured cohort, of which Legion depends upon the roster. Commanded by an experienced Centurion, the cohort always counts a Pardoner among their number.
The other entrances are usually kept secured unless they are in use.

Environs

Surround, permeating and rising above the Citadel is the shadowy form of the Skinlands gated community apartment buildings erected on the former site of the Cloudlands Dance Hall. The Apartment development extends beyond the original boundaries of the Citadel when it was a Skinlands structure however the walls put up by the Quick do intersect with the Citadel in a number of ways.
As noted above, one-third of the main hall is bisected by a Skinlands wall. While this is no real barrier to a wraith, it does provide an extra room where the Council can meet. Inquisitive wraiths that poke their head through the wal in the midst of the meeting are dealt with harshly. Conversely, it is a frequent minor punishment to make a wraith shed a Corpus level to stand before the Council; it is a disconcerting way to start a meeting with the Necropolis' leaders.
