Personal Information

Solomon King 'Rides-A-Pale-Horse', Ithaeur, Bone Shadow, and ritemaster. Member of the Lodge of the Thousand Steel Teeth. A lone wolf that keeps watch over the highways and major roads through the area. Kinda hard to pin down when he's not at a moot, because he never stays in one place for more than a day. Rides a white or silver motorcycle

Appearance

First thing you need to know, is who do you know. Solomon, or Sylvana. Chances are, its one or the other you met first, before realizing that he makes easy use of the gift known as 'Lunas Embrace'. Solomon's prefered appearance is his male form, while it suits him, and he's large menacing individual. Standing nearly 2 metres tall, Solomon is covered in tattoos, some of which are in no human language. His attire is strewn with charms and trinkets, whether personal belief or some other purpose, he's doesn't say.
Sylvana is a form taken mostly when it suits a purpose, or for fun and games, depending on the situation. The resemblance is uncanny, if you haven't met both, you'd think they were siblings. Shes a tall, lithe individual, sharing the same tattoos and dress sense as her male counterpart.

When running around in other forms the Uratha can take, you may notice that Solomon takes after his tribes namesake, Death Wolf. White and Dark Grey fur, and an striking presence that cannot be ignored.

Personality

Intense would be the word of the day. Solomon does most things all in, fighting, stalking, hunting, loving. Given his Tribe and Auspice, this seems to be a lasting legacy of his close relationship with the spirits of his roads, and his patrols into the Hissil, where he treads deeper than most ever will.
Sylvana is very much like Solomon, with less filter. More in your face, more likely to speak her mind, a wild spirit of the road. Solomon has a few tics, like most of his kind, he follows the bans of those closest to him, be they uratha or spirit, even if they don't really apply. Is it a sign of respect or something more?

Timeline

  • 1986 - Born in Tuncurry local hospital to Anna-marie and Jacob King, both Uratha parents.
  • 1992 - Attended Tuncurry Public School till 1998, and later Great Lakes College - Tuncurry Campus, till year 10 in 2002
  • 2002 - Leaves school at age 16 to follow a full-time apprenticeship at a mechanics belonging to the Black Dogs MC, a club of which his parents are Patch-holders.
  • 2004 - Experiences his First Change, at his Patching-in party for the Black Dogs. The result was the death of the one that set him off, but the other Uratha members of the club managed to contain further damage.
  • 2006 - Age 20, Solomon swears into the Lodge of the Thousand Steel Teeth, who maintain a small presence in the region, and in the Black Dogs MC. Shortly later that same year, Solomon hits the road, heading around Australia to uphold both his tribes ban and Lodge ideals. He returns to the Protectorate, at least once every month or two, stays for up to a week, then moves on again, always moving.
  • 2007 - Was in the Forster region for the formation of the Protectorate. Did not hold much sway but maintained that the Highways and Lakes Way be open for the Thousand Steel Teeth and by association the Black Dogs MC to patrol as needed.
  • 2013 - Met with Lena Faulkner after helping her with a breakdown on the highway near Forster. Soon after they started riding together. One thing followed another and they ended up in a relationship. Shortly after this, they discovered they were going to be parents. Anastasia was born later that year.
  • 2014 - Still travelling the country, Lena and Solomon's second child was on they way, this time more planned, but with a surprise twist of Sylvana being the mother this time.
  • 2016 - After 3 and a half years and 2 kids, Lena and Solomon decide to separate. Solomon because he needs to uphold his ban, and Lena because she wants to settle down for a little while. While there is a little friction over this decision, they still care for each other and remain good friends.
  • 2017 - After years wandering Australia, returns to the Forster region full time. Partially to fulfill a missing position in the region, partially for a sense of stability himself.
  • 2018 - A wild year, settling down with a pack early on, containing the new pup Harriet, an acquaintance Meg and a new friend Mac. Grew close to all three rather quickly only to lose Mac suddenly to the local Predator Kings, ripping the heart out of the Pack, which dissolved soon after. Drifted around the region for the rest of the year, helping where needed, being a pain the arse otherwise. Travelled to Brisbane to assist the locals with a corrupted major river spirit that the Ashenga also had a keen interest in. Turns out a bone of Father Wolf had been uncovered and eaten by the spirit. This bone was later split between the packs who contributed to its containment, Sol receiving a piece for their assistance. Towards the close of the year, Syl lost most of her skin and nearly her life when Meg started to have difficulties with her pregnancy to her and Mac's child, however through the intervention of some special life-influenced children in the region, and the bulk of the protectorate, crisis was averted.
  • 2019 - After awaking from their coma of the previous years events, settled into the relationship that he had been dancing around with a member of the local Fire-Touched, Fever's Mercy, who had been a genuine friend and more the previous year when Sol had hit a dark place after the loss of his pack. This relationship settled a new path for the shaman, he would attempt to reach out to the Ashenga, and begin the long hard road to peace, sadly he would never see this through. Lul'Aya the False Father had awoken and was stalking the Uratha of the country, Sol put aside his quest to dedicate some time to uncovering the false wolfs secrets. When all was said and done, the battle lines drawn in Perth, Sol threw themselves into the fight, and when it seemed to go poorly, sacrificed himself to use the shard of bone he had to take on the Embodiment of Father Wolf himself, drawing the direct ire of Lul'Aya, allowing the rest of the assembled packs to tear it apart.

Quotes About

"YOU'RE SO HOT. I'M GONNA PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE." - Lena, frustrated at Solomon when they were dating

"Exceptional. Absolutely unparalleled. But where is your face? Who are you? Do you remember? Or has it changed so much that you're turning into the mist wall between the hisil and the gurihal? Come back, Sol. We need you" - Sunny Faulkner

"A lot of people don't seem to know how to take him, but the guy just knows his shit and doesn't suffer fools. I'd sink a beer with him anytime" - Tabitha Kelly

"This Dude knows the Score" - Buzz

"Completely unbiased, non-judgemental, and pure sweetheart. He brings happiness wherever he goes" - Marishka, failing to have a straight face and laughing through her sarcasm

From the SX:WtF discord, The Fallen channel

"Sol. You never did anything by halves, and even though our pack didn't work out, you still looked out for me and my son where you could. You went out big, and left a gaping wound on our protectorate. You're making me cry now, you jerk. I have no idea what i'm gonna tell your kids now. Rest easy and hunt well with Lena." - Meg

"Fuck's sake, fella! First Ruka and now you? Now it's just me and Kitty, and I'm the only one who can speak to the Croca-car, driving across the Red, sinking the piss up the pub so we could get shit done. We didn't get the chance to talk about what happened with the Unit, always assumed you'd be clever enough to get through without dancing with your Old Lady again... should never assume. And now it's back to the beginning. The line becomes a circle. And I can't help but think we may be a little fucked without you. At least you don't have to take on any more deaths. At least it's stopped with you. Will miss you, fella, one gender-rebel to another." - Bea

“Solomon, you were a dick, but I respected you, the knowledge you had and how you only wanted the best for others in your own way. It’s a shame to lose someone so knowledgeable, I hope you imparted as much as you could before you were taken. This protectorate will not be the same without you but you will live on through your students and those others you taught. I owe you a beer in the next life. May your story always be remembered.” - Bjorn

"Solomon, never thought you'd make the ultimate sacrifice, but you proved me.wrong. you had wisdom, you had so much. For all you've said and done, this proves to me how wrong I am. You are an example to me. I won't ever judge a book by the first few chapters again." - John Rivers

"Sol was family, he was everything a brother should be, annoying, confrontational but most importantly there when you needed him. He may not have been officially a member of Blades Edge but every time we had fought or faced a challenge for the last year he was by our side, working with us, fighting with us, and we depended on him. Father and mother of four of our seven children, and they loved and were loved by all the children dearly. They risked their life many times over in their defence and more recently seeking a better way for them to liver a safer existence without the constant threat of war. They brought wisdom and a sense of freedom to the children with provided a much needed balance to the sense of cunning, duty and responsibility Lena and I saw to demonstrate to them. It did not surprise me that Sol sacrificed themselves to save others in such a dramatic way, as much as they liked their quiet life on the road being the centre of attention was where they flourished, challenging peoples preconceived understandings and causing chaos. It is in their final act that we see their final message, taking the form of father wolf, demonstrating their final dream of a unified nation." - Wilhelm

"This is fucked Sol. I hadn’t finished learning from you. And don’t fucking think I didn’t figure out you gave me that jerry can to keep me safe from the fight. Telling me I’d have the biggest target on me so no one else could do it. I think you know me better than anyone else here. No way was I going to give up that challenge. I hate you so much for leaving us. I wasn’t ready to face these things. Im still not ready Sol. You never lied to me, never let me down, never kept things from me ‘for my own good’. You had a way of making me listen, even if it didn’t make sense till later or if I didn’t want to hear it. I listened and learnt from you, I’d fuck up and you’d help me find the lesson and how to do better. Losing Mac hurt. This is worse. So much worse Sol. You were the first one to trust me even if you had no reason to. The first to listen to a confused kid with no idea if she was losing her mind or not. You took me in, you taught me how to balance things out. How to survive this whole mess. You showed me what it was to be Uratha. You didn’t let me fail, you made me stronger just by being a smart-ass prick, challenging me with that smirk. I wish I’d heard some of your warnings for what they were back when they mattered. But I’ll remember them. I’ll keep remembering those lessons even now your gone. I dont think we deserved you, even when you were being a jerk, there was reason for it. You're gonna leave a fucking great hole here. I hope wherever you are you're happy now though." - Harriet

"I don't have words of wonder and sorrow for you Solomon. My pack owes you much. You saved my Rory, you brought him to me, the father of my second daughter. You taught me much of what I know about spirits. But more than anything, you were a friend, and it was a joy to know you and an honour to be part of your life. To you and for you. A Song" - Inana

"I don't know what to say Sol. I've thought about it a bit now and i don't think any words can do it justice. I've known you a long time. You are father and mother to my nieces and nephew. You were good for my sister. You were good for this protectorate, even when it just seemed like you were being a jerk. I get it now. You just wanted us to be better. I'm sorry we had some harsh words recently, but things were looking up. I regret it took this long, and now there's no more time left. I'm certain your actions saved lives, and for that I'm grateful. Hunt well." - Harley

"I know we weren't close and there were issues that prevented us from being closer. But damn it, not another auspice sibling. It's just Bea and myself now. Hopefully we can work to fill the gaps you're going to leave. I hope you have good hunts in the beyond." - Kitty

"He not like other. All... human. He not. Feel call of Hisil. It feel like home. I like that. It make... easy. Can trust, because much same. ..........We... We not talk much. I not need say. He not ask. He know already. Understand, like I understand him. Think that why hurt when he gone. No pack. No family. Different, but same." - Tahl

"Gods dammit Sol. Where do I even begin with how much I owe you? My life, to start, and then the future that came with it. A family. A daughter. Balance. I'll miss you, old friend. Until Death chooses not to pass me over, stay well. We'll hunt again together on the other side. A Song" - Rory

"I have never had a lover that was my peer. Yes, I love my wolfblooded mates, and we make decisions in the house, but they aren't my peers. Not in the way that Solomon was, and that was beautiful and life-changing. I was going to ask them to come away with me once they came home, to be my mate. Perhaps it might have changed things We would talk about how fate was fickle, that if we had met sooner, or in different circumstances, we would have been on the same side, or in a pack, or so different we can't even imagine. Now we don't get to see what that might be like. Forsaken, as much as there is a hole in me, the larger hole is in your Protectorate now. You are without a ritualist, without a contrarian, without one who rides the line between. Fill that hole quickly and thoroughly, or you will be lost. After Lena's death, they said that this was a dead place, and that the dead will keep it. Think on this, on the Days of Urfarah's Nightmares, on everyone who has passed, and remember what has been said. I always knew we weren't destined to be, and that their oath would keep them from me. Fate and Duty are terrible mistresses, but neither so cruel, so loving, so ineffably patient, as Death. It's who he's always belonged to, and now, she's gone to the one she loved the most. I love you, Sentinel of the Slain. I'll never forget." - Fever's Mercy

"Dear Solomon and Sylvana

I feel it is important to address you properly, as two sides to one soul. Both a vivacious individual who loved to have a good time hitting the road and exploring the world, and a sentinel of the slain who watched through the eyes of many to feel and know their truth and story. Duality met with you everywhere, with no fault of your own. People would either sing your praises of despise your existence. Whether loved or hated people would look to you for assistance with the spirits. You were good at what you did and if anything was to be said regardless of their stance, you were respected. That is enough of what others thought. To me you were so much more. A teacher. Maybe a bit begrudgingly to begin with, but one with wisdom and knowledge so deep that Kamduis-Ur sought for. In the short time you allowed me to be your student, I learnt so much and to think about never having another one of those lessons brings me to my knees before your marker. I don't wonder why though. I saw the battle and I felt the passion. You fought to correct what was wrong, you sought to sacrifice yourself to bring down the False Father and you fought for a love much greater than anything more than the protectorate. A peace that looks so far in the distance now, and a love most pure. Goodbye Sensei The shadow you have cast looks so big for this little fox to fill, but I will endeavour to do so in your honour." - Midori
