The Sydney Category Listing.

Sydney is the capital of the state of New South Wales, and was the first city founded by the British Empire within Australia, as the Colony of New South Wales.

The World of Darkness Sydney is different from the real Sydney; buildings have a more gothic feel, street crime is up with large gang violence and mafia presence. This is not a clone of the American gang violence however, as gun control has bred a society where gangs police themselves in NOT carrying guns, and fights are carried out, "the honourable way" with fists and tools (of what ever is handy: chains, bars, knives, shivs, etc...) The gulf between the rich and poor is vast.

The Camarilla appeared in Sydney in 1999 with a Camarilla Vampire chapter. The membership grew in size that the city was able to expand to include a Werewolf, Changeling and Sabbat game each month as well. The domain now runs venues under the New World of Darkness setting, see below for more information on the games.

Games and Events

Sydney runs a series of sanctioned games which run under the World of Darkness System and Rules using the (New) World of Darkness Minds Eye Theatre (MET) Storytelling System. The rules have been modified slightly by the Camarilla Club, and the Camarilla Australia, in order to better suit our global, ongoing Chronicle. Contact the VSTs for more information on the changes.

All games occur on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. Requiem (Vampire) is held during the evening of the second Saturday, and Mage is held during the day. Changeling and Werewolf are on the fourth Saturday of the month, in the evening and afternoon respectively.

For venue information please contact the Venue Co-ordinator for the game you wish to play.

Please note that the game details (time, location or cost) may change prior to the game so please watch for announcements on the OOC Sydney mailing list or contact the venue's Venue Coordinator.

Sydney Noctis 2011, successfully run over the Easter and Anzac day long weekend, 22nd - 26th April 2011.

Dozens of kindred enter the city after the plague that killed the previous inhabitants. New leaders, new rules and new threats.

Werewolf: The Forsaken (Fourth Saturday)

Venue Coordinator: Guy Mitchell

Venue Storyteller: Adam Hornby

The dawn breaks over the sands of Bondi, and finds the city empty of Uratha. What will the newcomers find when they arrive, to reap from those that have fallen?

Changeling: The Lost (Fourth Saturday)

Venue Coordinator: Galen Sturgess

Venue Storyteller: Ben Williams

Beneath the shining harbour, amid the towers of global greed and deep inside the bad-drugs madness of the suburban wastelands, lies Sydney's shadow-history. Terrifying tsunamis, corpse-robbing morgue staff, killer cops, neo-Nazis, power junkies and bumbling SWAT teams electrify this tale of a city with a cold vacuum for a moral core.

After Game Social Events

Sometimes after the conclusion of a game, some of the players like to get together to talk about the game, catch up, and generally hang out and have fun after being at each other's throats all night. This is a great way to meet new people, and maybe recruit for a table top game you'd like to run. When you're at the game, be sure to ask the Venue Coordinator where the Post-Game Gathering is happening.
