Personal Information

Appearance

Physically, Vulture is short and a little overweight, but projects the air of being tall and gangly, like a scarecrow or stick insect. The most easily notable feature about her, however, is the exposed cartilage of her nose, which breaks breaks open into a split below, exposing her teeth and jaw all the way down to the chin. Her skin is also thin and papery, looking as if it would tear and bruise easily if she were still mortal.

She frequently stares at people without blinking, especially Kindred she views putting on airs. She also mimics a variety of avian traits, clicking and hissing, and walking with a slightly awkward, sidling gait. Her nails are thick and sharp, resembling the talons of her namesake. At courts, she tends to wear a mask, so as not to offend 'delicate little fee-fees'. The rest of her clothing is a utilitarian hodgepodge, favoring black and a punk aesthetic.

Personality

Vulture is abrasive and rude, constantly cracking jokes and making sly remarks- the more crude, the better. This behaviour only intensifies around her coterie, to whom she is fiercely loyal. When asked for her opinions, she is, more often than not, happy to give them, usually with a snide laugh. In spite of this, she's often seen as the reasonable one of the Scavengers, talking them down from the worst of their excesses, and negotiating on their behalf.

Vulture does not have friends- she respects people, tolerates them, or tells them to walk on now, fucker.

She also often displays her esoteric side, offering to 'read the bones' for people, and bringing entrails for special occasions. When asked, she says she worships an eclectic mix of goddesses she calls 'the Maimed Mothers', and includes Hel, Medusa, Gullveig, and Izinami. She offers some respect to similar gods, such as Odin, Tezcatlipoca, Hephastus, and Nuada, but says 'When Gods are wounded, they get called heroes. When Goddesses are wounded, they get discarded, and rise again of their own strength, burned and rotting.'

Mortal World

Little is known about Vulture's ties to the mortal world, but given how able she is to move stolen goods back and forth, it's assumed there's at least something there. She's also known to 'pay (her) due diligence' to the homeless, and other marginalised communities, helping out when she can.

Recently, the Trash have started hanging out with a bunch of TAFE students that they call 'the Genterns', whose general purpose appears to be fucking around and getting up to shenanigans with their weird, nocturnal mates.

Timeline

90's sometime - Embraced
Late 90's - Develops enough Cruac to receive a vision of her future coterie
2012 - Spotted in Canberra by Delphi
2016 - Meets Hyena, and immediately recognises her from her vision. The coterie then expands to include Isaac and Poss shortly after. Later in the year, they encounter Argyle Sorrow in Canberra, and have a strangely pleasant time.
2018 - The Scavengers induct L3XX into their number, giving him the name Raccoon
2019 - The Scavengers find a young, abandoned Kindred squatting in their haven after assisting with the Second Darwin raid. They give him the name Grackle, and adopt him as their childe.

Recent History

Vulture has spent all of her time in the recent past screwing around wherever she can get away with it with her coterie, Queen Yena and Fox, poaching on the outskirts of cities, and running fledglings off their food. Occasionally, they run into someone bigger than they're used to, get their heads kicked in, and limp away with tails between their legs.

Recently, the Trash have decided to settle down in Geelong, claiming and being granted territory near the East Geelong campus of the Gordon Institute of TAFE. With the ascension of Crystal to the Praxis, they find themselves in a vague position of authority, with Isaac becoming part of the Sherriff's office (and roping in his coterie-mates). It remains to be seen how long that will last, given their unruly and anti-authoritarian nature, and penchant for ultra-violence.

The Scavengers have also started adopting younger Kindred, that they call 'Refusees' or 'The Recycling'. While these tend to be younger, disenfranchised, or otherwise under-represented Kindred, it does include some older members of the court that they think need a good trashy education.

Towards the end of 2020, Vulture was given the title of Jester by the Praxis of Canberra, Lizzie Williams. Her work with the Disenfranchised there, as well as the freshly restored Grove, means she is traveling to Canberra frequently, as an irritating but somehow useful guest.
