1021 Turstin is born to Norman parentage, a direct descendant of the original Vikings to settle in what became known as Normandy, France. Groomed to become a soldier from an early age, Turstin's destiny would always be entwined with death.
1040 Turstin becomes engaged to a beautiful young woman, Gabyelle. They marry in the autumn.
1043 During periodic raiding of the Norman coast by Viking longboats Turstin is captured and taken north to -Norway-, The Homeland.
1048 Broken away from his family and village, Turstin is forced to abandon his Christianity and embrace his Viking heritage to survive.
1049 Turstin is found by Ylva Kára. She had come upon him after he was caught of guard by a bear. While he managed to kill the rampaging beast, and did so with respect for the agonised animal, it claimed his right eye. Impressed by Turstins skill with the sword, she offered him power and freedom like nothing he could Imagine - in exchange for his life. thinking he had nothing more to lose, he accepted the Embrace. Never knowing that all the while Ylva had stirred the bear into its rage with the intent of claiming the young man all along.
1059 For a decade, Turstin studies with his Sire the kindred condition, and begins his training in the kindred disciplines of his clan.
1061 Imperial German forces conquer West Frasia (Now Holland). Excited by the prospect of war so close to home, he crosses the North Sea and enters the Netherlands to join the chaos and conflict.
1062 Dissapointed after the conflict in Holland dies down, Turstin continues west, tracing his history back towards Britain.
1063 Returns to the place of his birth after 20 years. his wife now lies in the churchyard, having died of Pneumonia the previous winter. Struck not by grief, but rather the irony of his existence, he leaves a token on the grave of his former beloved. He returns to his old home where he is confronted by a young man whom he learns to be his son. Albéric. The two spend the night discussing their lives until this point. By morning they are bonded deeper than any mortal father and son, and Turstin offers his son his wrist and takes him as his first ghoul.
1065 Turstin and Albéric make their way northward, Turstin intended to take his son to his adopted homeland of Norway, where given time, he may be groomed for the embrace.
1066 Turstin lies in slumber beneath the Battle of Hastings, the battle that would likely have claimed his life had he not been embraced. He unknowingly gorges on the blood of the fallen and when he wakes among the corpses, is horrified to find that his ghoul and son had perished in the battle. He makes a solemn vow never to become embroiled in open battle, and hurriedly leaves the site of devastation. The scene of carnage places a mark upon him he will never forget. Unknown to Turstin, His son rises from the grave as a Revenant and follows his sire north towards their hunting grounds.
1071 Turstin has returned to Norway, unaware that he was followed by the Revenant he accidentally created. Albéric, his mind twisted by the posthumous embrace stalks his Sire.
1072 Turstin comes upon the corpse of a bear, which looks to have been savaged by a beast. Recognising the marks to be claws of another Gangrel, he sets about tracking and capturing them. after several nights of stalking his prey, he comes upon Albéric. Beyond wild, Albéric attacks Turstin, and reluctantly, but resolutely, Turstin puts the beast down.
1075 Wracked by grief and anger, Turstin has been a plague upon the nearby villages for the last three years. unable to console her childe, Ylva commits him to rest in torpor, so he might forget his sons passing. He doesn't forget.

1101-1200

1107 Is woken by Ylva, who tells him of the (Norwegian) Kings plan to invade 'the Holy Land' in a 'Great Crusade'. Bloodthirsty, Turstin agrees to travel and enter the fighting, Slaugtering hundreds of men in the name of a God he no longer believes in.
1111 The 'Great Crusade' draws to a close, and Ylva returns to Norway with the kings remaining forces. Turstin bids her farewell, and remains on in the foreign lands.

1151 Returns to Europe from the 'Holy Lands', landing in France. along the return voyage, he meets a fellow crusader, Camden. The two bond over the war.
1158 Turstin returns to hi birthplace of Normandy, and Erects a headstone for his fallen son next to the grave of his wife. Camden, now a firm friend and ally of Turstin, pledges to serve him as loyal steward.
1167 Embraces Camden, who had already suspected Turstins nature, having met other kindred in the Crusade. Together they remain in France until Turstin is called back to Norway. Camden becomes embroiled in local politics and remains in france, now released.
1200 Turstin is reunited with his sire in Norway, and they begin establishing their domain in the southern coastal region of Viken, Norway.

1201-1300

1201 Having reunited with his sire, together Ylva and he set about making a home of Viken. Together they hunt and prey upon the local villages and ships that travel up and down the inlets and rivers of the region, before stumbling upon Ári and Ljónynja, twins no more than 12 or 13, but already warriors in their own right. the twins do not know they are watched.
1206 Ári is ghouled by Ylva. He begs like a whimpering animal that she embrace his beloved sister Ljónynja and he together so the two of them may serve her. Ylva concedes, after Ári swears his unending loyalty to her.
1207 Ljónynja and Ári are embraced after Ylva baits Ljónynja into combat, and strikes her down. Ári begs for his sister to be saved from death, crying like a pathetic child. Ylva claims her prize, as always as she had intended. Ári realises his mistake too late, and is trapped in service to our Sire.
1208 Ylva hands off the duties of raising her childer to Turstin. for nearly 25 years he trains them in the Sword, Claw, the skins of the wild, and of Controlling Beasts.
1232 Ári and Ljónynja leave to find the girls mortal family. satisfied in their progress and training, Turstin bids them farewell, before going deep into a cave and succumbing to torpor.
1288 Turstin is Woken by Ylva, who had recieved word that Turstins Childe, Camden, had called for him to come to England. Together with Ylva he journies back towards his birthplace.
1290 Upon their arrival in England, it becomes apparent that Camden has fallen under the sway of a Daeva of the Ordo Dracul, with whom he is obsessed. Turstin, having seen the halmarks of a blood bond previously, states his objection to his obsessions, but his interest in the Order is apparent. Ylva, having no reason to stay and no fight to draw her, returns to the homeland. Turstin chooses to stay on in England with his Childe.

1301-1400

1301 Turstin bids Camden to teach him about thr Ordo Dracul, their methods and their position.

1322 After a gathering of local Kindred, Camden is cut down in cold blood in front of Turstin, by the very Daeva he had been obssessed by. Enraged, Turstin quickly terminates her is a violent display of savagery. While many among the gathering agreed that it was long past the Daeva's appointed time, suggested that Turstin leave the city, lest her allies bring down retribution. He finds himself among family again before the year is out, however Tyr is ominiously missing.
1325 Turstin hunts, trains and teaches with his brother and sister in Norway for the next 30 years. Ári is quick to learn the martial skills of sword and savage, while Ljónynja is slower to develop her Gangrel gifts, but just as fierce.
1375 Turstin grows suspicious of the disappearance of Tyr, and suspects that Ári is to blame. His suspicions deepen when Ari continues to deflect Ljónynja when she questions him about Tyr. Finally after a particularly violent argument Turstin leaves for several weeks to hunt alone in the forests. Sleeping in the soil and caves each morning, he came upon Tyr, Torpid and partially buried in a shallow cave a few weeks journey from their home. Turstin wakes the boy, and takes him home. Ljónynja is overjoyed. Ári is not.
1392 Periodic raiding of their domain threatens the Kine. A solution is drafted, and presented to the attacking family. A 'wedding' would be arranged to bring the families together and end the bloodshed.
1400 In a betrayal to the family, Ári is killed. Tyr takes Ljónynja and escapes, forced to leave an injured Ylva and Turstin behind. Unsatisfied with the fallout of events, Turstin leaves to forge his own path, Taking a new name.

1463 Meets 'The Crone' a disgusting Nosferatu of immense power. She takes him under her wing and teaches him new powers of the blood, including the mind twisting powers of Nightmare. Wodan fails to recognise that the immense power of The Crone is actually a Strix, possessing his new mentor. after months of tutelage, Wodan is finally able to manifest his own twisted dillusions. That same night, the Strix leaves the Nosferatu and takes Wodan as its new host. For the next 60 years Wodan watched helplessly from within his own body as he played host to a Strix that carved a bloody and jagged path across Europe, Persia, The Mediterranean and northern Africa, embracing dozens of new and depraved childer, recruited into a cult of Strix-worshippers.

1501-1600

1524 Almost 6 decades of possession by a Strix and the thousands of atrocities committed, culminates with the Strix-possessed Wodan and his cult summoning an other-worldly being into existence. Many of the cult die in the ritual. as the new God is born, Wodan is forced to watch from within his own body as the Strix plucked from his own socket, his right eye and offered it up as sacrifice for the birth of the beast. At the rituals completion, the Strix discards Wodan's used body, leaving him amongst his dead, depraved, and misused Childer in the ritual circle. Taking possession of the new creature it had created from their blood and bones, it turned to Wodan, to find him weeping, laughing, crying, broken - Head in his hands, his blackened and empty eye socket peering out from behind bloody fingers. Ljónynja had been searching for him for several years and bore witness to the foul ritual from the shadows, and having been left for dead, recovered him and swiftly withdrew from the scene of carnage and devastation.
1542 Ljónynja leaves him to go to Corsica and deal with House-hold issues. Wodan bids her farewell, He knows it will be a long, dark time before he sees her again.
1551 Driven mad by the memories of his time as a Thrall to the Strix, Wodan assembles a great host of gangrel, whom he grooms to become Strix hunters. Training them on what to look for, he sends them back to their homes to track the ellusive menace. These Kindred will endure to become the first founding of the Wilde Jagd.
1559 Wodan continues experimenting with his disciplines, forcing his blood to twist and entwine the sensations of each power into one another. He resolves that the great power imbued in him by the Strix menace would ultimately be their own undoing.
1573 His Strix hunters send word of their success in tracking several Strix-cults across the Mediterranean. Confident in his new understanding of his disciplines, Wodan calls The First Great Hunt, and sets out to put the dark menace down. For 20 years they sail and ride across the Mediterranean, purging vile Strix-covens across the area. many fall in combat, others too desert the fight.
1599 Wodan avuses the first of many of the founding Kindred into his new bloodline, The Wilde Jagd. Fusing together the terrifying powers of Nightmare and their innate Gangrel gifts of Protean and Animalism, the brood become a fearful force against the Strix.
1600 The Hunt spirals out of control, and turns into a blood crazed frenzy of savage revelry. The terrifying host rides night after night, scouring the area and feasting on hundreds. Many new Childer are embraced in the macabre festivities, including Hremmtun.

1601-1700

1611 The First Great Hunt draws to a close. Hremmtun, seeking to gain favor with Wodan, takes it upon himself to seek out Ljónynja, thinking her less able than a Gangrel of the Wilde Jagd. He does not survive the encounter with Wodans sister.
1619 Ljónynja seeks out Wodan to find out why his Childe came after her. Wodan tells her that the only reasons he would send any Childer to her would be for training, or to die. The two hunt together for a few years, and Wodan begins to recognise the savagery of their sire in Ljónynja, hallmarks of her isolation from the family. Suspecting the toll it has taken on her, he commits her to torpor for her own good.
1622 Meets a young and curious human on a brightly moonlit night. Margarete disguised as a soldier. He senses a darkness about her spirit, so spares her life.
1629 Takes haven in Poland, where he succumbs to torpor.

1701-1800

1717 Wakes from Torpor, and begins preparations for the Second Great Hunt.
1718 Wodan calls the Second Great Hunt. Like the previous Great Hunt, the true nature of the hunt is quickly lost to bloodletting and viscious hunting of the local population. Wodan embraces Kane, as dozens of others are brought into the brood by those he avused.
1723 Wodan is seized and dragged before the Local princes, who are weak and have no understanding of the meaning behind the Hunt. they press upon him to end the Hunting, for it is disturbing the Kine and drawing attention to the Masquerade. Wodan laughs at their petty threats to silence him, and he leaves the gathering.
1735 The Second Great Hunt draws to a close, and Wodan dismisses the brood back to their home domains before the local Princes make good on their promises of retribution.
1738 Travels south, where he fights in The Romania Strix War, alongside Yr Ysgolhaig. The two learn much from one another, and Wodans experiences with the Strix, and his impecable memory aid Yr Ysgolhaig much in his studies.
1741 Takes a new haven in Ukraine, where he enters torpor.

1801-1900

1802 Wakes from torpor, and begins preparationd for the Third Great Hunt.
1804 Wodan calls the Third Great Hunt, expecting to ride and join 'The Childrens Crusade'. The hunt is brought to an early and abrupt end as, finally, the Local princes take action against him and his brood, cutting down many of his followers and starting great forest fires to drive them to the brink. dozens die in the purge, and the remainder scatter to the winds, returning to their homes and resuming their old identities. Wodan barely escapes the fires, but is still determined to fight the Strix.
1812 Wodan returns to his real family, whom he has not seen nor heard from in some 200 or more years. While much has changed for each of them, their bonds are strong, and the family thrives together.
1827 Wodan and Ljónynja Learn that Ylva had orchestrated the capture and torture of Ljónynja . Together, they hatch a plan to end their sires requiem permenantly. 1834 Ljónynja and Wodan kill Ylva. 1836 Now eldest among their Lineage, Wodan travels to England incognito and resumes his experiment of disciplines there.
1857 Seeks out Charles Brock, after having heard of him in passing from Ljónynja. Wodan watches the man for a time before brooching a meeting with him to take his measure, now well-groomed for the embrace by his sister.
1858 Satisfied that Charles Brock will be a strong addition to their lineage, Wodan journeys back to Norway where he enters torpor.
1886 Is roused from slumber to join his sister Ljónynja in travelling to Australia. baulking at the idea of leaving Europe, he seeks out the Oracle for guidance, but finds her torpid, under the watchful gaze of Margarete Wulfhild, now embraced. they exchange memories and Wodan leaves her, but is ultimately late for the boat to sail with his sister to Australia.

1942 Comes upon a young woman being hunted by German soldiers in southern Poland. Amused by her tenacity, he turns the tables on the soldiers by embracing the Gypsy girl, and unleashing her upon her tormentors. She deftly hunts them and feasts on their blood. Surprised by her, and prideful of his blood, He coins the moniker Vala for her after the curses she spat at the soldiers in the night.
1945 Tracking a meal Kindred through Germany, he comes upon his lair one night to find his quarry slain, and a young Australian soldier collapsed in a state of shock, clearly having come upon the Vampire during the day and slain it. Curious to hear this childs story, he waits for the soldier to wake, and explain himself. The boy tells him that several of these 'creatures' had stalked him and his squad for a month, slowly picking them off in the night. finally, when he had been the last alive, he had tracked them back to this cave and in a rage, murdered them all in their day-sleep. Wodan saw himself in the eyes of this soldier, so took him under his wing and before the year was out, Garmr was embraced.
1951 Bears witness to the reawakening of Margarete Wulfhild from Torpor. She doesn't recognise him.
1959 Meets Charles Brock, and is pleased to note that he has become exactly the kind of kindred expected of him.
1972 Journeying deep into the untamed bush of New South Wales, He spends the next 30 years training his childer in the teachings of the gangrel. both take to it like Ducks to Water, individually developing their own styles with their blood gifts.

2001-2016

2001 Visits his sister, Ljónynja. Meets Onryō, still a ghoul. They cross blades, but the ghoul earns Wodans respect when he sees the sword he carries is the partner to his own. Wodan bids that his sister care for his childer and teach them the politics of kindred society before returning to Torpor once more.

Wodan - "Shh... not now little Vala. First attend to your murderers. Show them your ferocity. Teach them your pain. Hunt them. Drink your fill of them and revel in your power over them. Then, I will teach you the true meaning of the marks you wear, the curses you spit, and of the real Wilde Jagd."

Garmr - "I am... Unsure about this."

Wodan - "There's nothing to it."

Garmr - "I know, I know. I just don't know where to start."

Wodan - "We are not as horses, Garmr. We need not be broken in. Your gifts are a natural talent, bourne in you through my blood. You need only draw it out."

Garmr - "I am afraid"

Wodan - "Good. That is where it begins. Twist your fear and use it. Lash out with it, cloak yourself with it. Inspire, terrorise and destroy."
